HBP injuries. Seems like those are up wildly this year but I haven't looked into it. Edit: Tertiary look says HBP is through the roof compared to historical trends. So either the ball has just destroyed command or there are way too many pitchers in baseball right now who flatly just can't pitch, but throw hard so they're in the majors. Probably both. Taylor Walls is a legit prospect. No, hes not Wander Franco but hes pretty good. Franco also only has 75 PAs above A+ ball, so any seasoning he can get in the minors while the rays remain competitive this year seems like a win. While I think Franco was probably ready for the majors when he was 18, Walls has better statistics in AAA and is a better fielder. Obviously if it weren't for small market nonsense, this is all moot.
