Uncle Buck 3,647
So now that Synder has 100% ownership, is he going to give "the Football Team" a real name again?

Nut 21
WFT is going somewhere, he just needs to butt out and let the football people make football decisions.

Nah, the reports around here are that football team will stick. Although I think it’s just kicking the can down the road one more year. Snyder is all about money. If we have fans back this year, he will sell a bunch of football team stuff, and then can change the name the following year and sell more. If we had a normal season last year with fans, I bet we would have changed the name by now.

This has been the story for 20 years. Snyder hires Schottenheimer, who fires Cerrato. Snyder fires Schottenheimer and brings back Cerrato. We think he gets out of decision making for Joe Gibbs, but is immediately back into it once Gibbs is gone. Then we get Mike Shanahan who is supposed to have full control and get Snyder out of the decision-making process. Well, the “cap expert” who was a must-hire for him was Bruce Allen, who shanghaied control of the franchise away from Shanahan and back to Snyder. Allen got a timeout for two years when Scot McCloughan was finally brought in so that a “football person could make football decisions” but Allen had someone leak that he was drinking again. Oh, and we also hired Brian Lafemina away from the NFL to run the business side. That hire didn’t last for a full nine months before Allen sabotaged that one, and Snyder fired him instead of letting him quit. Given the 20 years of “Snyder Speak” I can almost guarantee you that he is pulling the strings for Rivera even now. Rivera’s press conference for announcing the hiring of Marty Hurney and Martin Mayhew is all the evidence you need. Rivera said Snyder told him “why not hire both?” When Rivera said he was having a tough time making decisions. Anyone who has leaked how Snyder gets involved has said it is that passive suggestion that he makes. Time is a flat circle, especially here.
CKSteeler 855
So, this is basically the league saying it doesn't care or worry itself too much about the results of that still ongoing investigation. No final report, but they allowed Snyder to buy out his partners.
