CP3MVP
We always talk about gusty moves coaches make on the field. Going for it on 4th down, onside kicks, trick plays etc. but what about GM’s? What is the gutsiest move you have seen your teams front office make and did it work out?
Turnobili
trading for carson palmer midseason
DutchFalcon
Trading up for Julio Jones would get my vote. I'd say it worked out. Even with durability and some drop issues he's been a HoF player.
vikingsrule
Trading a first for Sam Bradford in an attempt to salvage the season after losing Teddy and giving Cousins a fully guaranteed 3 year contract after watching the team carry Keenum to a NFC title game.
GW21
Probably the trade we made this offseason honestly.

Ray Reed
Recent history has to be trading back into the 1st for - and going “all in” on - Lamar Jackson. Completely committed to building the team around a player/offensive style 90% of people said would be a failure and we’ve scored more points on offense than any other team in the NFL since Lamar Jackson has been our starter. Before that maybe taking Jonathan Ogden over Lawrence Phillips (Nebraska RB) at #4 in our first draft...we were already set at LT/RT sand everyone and their mother was bullish on Phillips becoming a superstar RB. Ogden played LG his first year, Phillips flamed out due to character stuff and the rest is history. minutemancl
Eli. And damn right it paid off. The story behind that whole trade is pretty crazy and Accorsi is the man for pulling it off.
Shanedorf
Trading a 1st round draft pick to ATL for some 3rd string drunken hillbilly that Jerry Glanville called "Mississippi" Spending a 1st round pick on a Tedford QB when "Mississippi" was still on the team and playing well Spending a 1st + 4th on a QB while the Tedford QB was busy earning his 3rd MVP in the same season.
LeotheLion
Rams have had a lot but I don't think it is recency bias to say the Stafford trade. All the other moves were building for Snead to finally push all the chips in.
Uncle Buck
For a very easy answer, I'll go back to my Vikings days:
Split the Sticks
oh god... In 2000, with three quarterbacks already on the roster, the patriots drafted a quarterback in the 6th round. Asked why the move was made, the answer given was.. "We need a backup quarterback". But Tom Brady worked out pretty well

Split the Sticks
Yes, @Uncle Buck, "value" LOL. That's what Belichick preaches.
