vike daddy
McKinnon has scored three touchdowns over the last two games, with a total of 164 yards rushing and 81 yards receiving. He had 26 rushing yards and zero touchdowns in the four weeks before that. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/10/19/jerick-mckinnon-shows-up-on-practice-report-with-an-ankle-injury/
Heimdallr
McKinnon has definitely stepped up since Cook went down. We have been missing a true receiving threat from the backfield for a very long time, so it is good to see McKinnon being able to take advantage of those screen and swing passes. Hopefully we can re-sign him to a decent #2 RB contract.
swede700
He needs to learn how to hold onto the ball.
Heimdallr
3 fumbles in 489 career touches doesn't seem too bad.
SemperFeist
2 fumbles in 3 games is bad.

Haha I like what he's doing, and if he continues to play and stay healthy (knock on wood), he deserves an extension. Hoping Cook and McKinnon become one of the must dynamic backfield duos in the league!
SemperFeist
I think we’ll see McKinnon get something around a 3 year, $9M contract. Basically use the money that’s slated to go to Murray, who I don’t think will be here beyond this season.
Klomp
The change in offense really puts him in better situations as a runner and receiver

Simple solution: pay the better performer starter's money and send the other guy packing back to from where he came...
SemperFeist
Why would you pay a player who’s not a starter, starter’s money?

Depends on how much McKinnon is valued by other teams that may ultimately determine what the Vikes have to pay.

I’d put anything that’s top 10-15 at the position as “starter’s” money, and I believe Murray is currently the 10th highest pains RB on a AAV basis.
