Everyone's argument against it was he is to small and weak to be able to set the edge.  5T takes on the OT so all he has to do is set the edge against a TE and let the SS clean it up.  No reason why he should not be able to do that.

Pretty much

He explains it all here. Said he was eating the same but wasn't benching but was doing bands.

Sounds like a lot more than benching.  Catching covid and he said he did not approach it right.  Bands for the upper body but you still have a full range of lower body work you can do without your hands.  Having that much going on I understand a little bit of his struggles.  I liked him coming out but wanted to draft him in the 2nd.  Hopefully he lives up to his draft position.

Yeah but I was talking about in relation to the fact that he had so many missed tackles which was uncharacteristic because I did never been an issue in college ever he was actually known for his tackling. But when you’re the size of DeSean Jackson you’re not gonna tackle running back‘s big receivers and tight ends.

That combined with playing in the NFL now.  Some of the WRs in the NFL are the size of college LBs.  He had a lot going against him last year.  I have not given up on him but I do think it was a poor choice to draft him 19th overall.

right now we dont really have a SAM for the 4-3 under. the guys at TapeDontLie were talking about it. This is why the KJ Wright talks make sense

I have been saying this for months now.  Trying to figure out who can fit that role.  Only person right now is Koonce but I think he needs a year to transition.

but Koonce is not a guy who specializes at taking on blocks to seal an edge lol.... just because he's bigger than most linebackers doesnt mean he's fit for that role

I see him as a 3-4 OLB.  More of a rush specialist.  Line him up next to Ferrell who will be taking on the OT and Koonce is responsibility is the TE.  Your criticism is also part of the reason why I think he needs a year to transition.  I do not think he is ready for the role but if you only bring him in as a situational pass rusher you will not have to worry about him taking on a pulling guard and being knocked into next week.

that's what i think they should be doing in year 1. coming from a small school, dont make him think too much, just have him make an impact by doing the one thing he can do at a solid level

Which is why both of us think we need to bring in a vet for 2021.

It’s not rocket science is it? Bradley has shown he can mix his scheme up, people getting way too obsessed trying to fit players to 4-3 under which we will barely play for the most part.

I think last year was an unfair assessment and only time will tell.

If we have the players to run it effectively we will run it more often.  If we do not then of course you stay away from it.  If you have the personnel and the knowledge to run every scheme effectively you will switch it up quite a bit.  That way you will keep the offense guessing the entire time.  We will be limited by what our players are physically and mentally capable of.  With a player like Wright it opens up the door for Bradley to run different sets effectively and therefore using it more often.  This will also allow the defense to counter the offensive changes.  Probably why teams would change their attack at the half against us the past few years and we could do nothing about it.  With the exception of the KC game our defense made zero adjustments at the half last year.  Last thing I want to hear come out of Bradley's mouth this year is we could have stopped with this setup but we did not have the players to run it.  Plain and simple that Wright knows how to and is capable of doing things our other LBs do not and those things fit different aspects of Bradley's system.
