Turnobili
its so sad when a team more or less deprived of talent on defense gets rid of one of the few talented guys on its defense. this is shelby harris/denico autry all over again

Jakuvious
Does that leave Miller as the last man standing from the '18 draft?
Kiwibrown
Hurst had a couple of solid years, what gives?
FalconFan13
Would love for the Falcons to target Hurst and pair him with grady at times. I think we liked him a bit in that draft as well but it's a new regime so who knows what they think.

He wasn't some kind of pass rushing phenom but he was better than Collins every time he was in and seemed to get some push at least but just never seemed to get on the field enough and it looked like the coaches were putting anyone but him in. As a role player he can probably be decent, though I don't think he's stout enough against the run to be a full time DT. Kind of what you expect in the 5th round. I think everyone in the Raider forum wanted to see more of him........... Key was always that one player every team has that looks awesome in TC and practice, gets hyped up as unblockable then does nothing when the games count 😁 Actually, he didn't do nothing he made an incredibly rash personal foul against the Dolphins with 20s left which lost us the game, so there is that 😔 Edited April 16, 2021 by Darbsk
BigTrav
Gruden tearing it down.
lomaxgrUK
Key was actually really good in spurts against us in one game last year. Looked a physical specimen out there, playing DE on early downs then moving inside on 3rd down. He played with amazing effort too, so it's a surprise to read so many Raider fans dislike him. I guess it was just a one off.

I guess it was just a one off. His role was to rush and he has 3 sacks in 3 years. With Ngakoue and Crosby on the roster, he was a long shot to make the team. I'd expect a pick on a project pass rush specialist to develop behind those 2. This one didn't develop much.
EaglesPeteC
If I am the Eagles, I am all over Hurst to be DT 3 behind Cox and Hargrave

Hurst also would have cost next to nothing for this year and at the very least would have likely netted us a comp pick down the line (or contributed to the formula). just a bad FO doing bad FO things. Any chance Gruden and Mayock are gone if things don't turn around this year?
MOSteelers56
Is Hurst really under 280 lbs?
sparky151
Bengals should claim Hurst. We're in desperate need of better pass rush, especially from the interior.
