We're test driving it today, and if we like it... then we're getting it tinted, putting some black rims on it (wife loves the white/black rims contrast) and driving it out on Friday. If we don't like it, wife is impartial to the Toyota Highlander - I don't mind it, has a solid bit of interior tech to use for her - but I'm not a fan overall, would prefer the Jeep. Between you and me, I'm gonna tell you to go Toyota over Jeep every day of the week because of my absolute disdain for anything chrysler product. I can understand that - this is Jeep #4 I've owned in my life, so my experience has been good at the absolute worst. Here's the vehicle... Wifey loves it, so... y'know, brownie points for me.
MKnight82
I haven't owned a vehicle in over a year. I live in the city so simple items I can just walk to a market or hit the many restaurants around us. When COVID hit my wife and I were like why do we own 2 vehicles? So I sold mine and we kept hers. I've returned to the office (only 3 times a week) and she still works remotely so we've just stuck with the single vehicle. Even with a kid it hasn't been an issue.

Agreed. I've had multiple Toyota's in my life, and rarely have issues/nothing major. Jeeps? lol. My brother's and friend's always seem to have something stupid wrong with them. Between me going to Ashland and her to Chester, we definitely need the two, otherwise I would love to do this.

Its literally the more unique versions of the one you have on. They were limited edition black jeep rims, same basic profile but a little different. I could have saved you some $$
bigbadbuff
Recommendations for a performance vehicle that won’t break the bank? I’n currently in an Alfa Romeo Stelvio. Love the design, love the drive, tech is a bit laggy. Had it for about a year now, thinking about other options.
bigbadbuff
I also have the opportunity to lease a 4runner limited. Going from the Alfa to that it’s tough though. I like it, just super different and not sure if willing to sacrifice the sportiness
Matts4313
@ET80's new Jeep made me go finish up some projects on mine at 10pm CST, haha. Nothing major. Put in the rest of the grab handles and replaced a broken bracket on one of my side steps (not factory side steps before you all Jeep-bash). 2 hours ago, bigbadbuff said: Recommendations for a performance vehicle that won’t break the bank? I almost bought one, but the tech was a bit archaic as you pointed out and they are kinda small. Hard to tell you a performance vehicle w/o any info on what you are looking for. Coupe? Sedan? SUV? Brand matter? etc

I drove a Q50 red sport which was cool, but is $700 a month. I really like the TLX type S but that is impossible to get your hands on. I’ve driven the Stinger, again which is cool, but not sure I’d want to pay that much for a Kia.

I have a 2019 Q50 Luxe edition - not as much bump as the Red Sport edition (100 hp difference) but the AWD and twin turbo does have some pop - and I definitely don't pay $700 for it, I'm paying half that. 22 minutes ago, bigbadbuff said: I’ve driven the Stinger, again which is cool, but not sure I’d want to pay that much for a Kia. Check our the Genesis G70 3.3t - virtually the same engine and drivetrain, a bit more on the luxy side. Given you're in a Stelvio, have you considered a Giulia? IIRC, you worked at an Alfa Romeo dealership, so you probably have a formed opinion on the vehicle. If not, I heard it gets high praise from owners... Not sure what your budget is, but the Toyota Supra can be had for just north of $50k. If you're looking for 4D, check on a Toyota Camry TRD - everyone who I know loves this car. -------- I was actually putting some thought behind something similar - my next car is going to be a 3rd "fun" vehicle, keep my Q50 for daily driving and get a used (< 30,000 miles) 2D sports car to whip around on the weekends. I've narrowed it down to the following: 1. Dodge Challenger RT Scat Pack 2. Toyota Supra 3. Jaguar F-Type 4. Boss 302 Mustang 5. Camaro SS I'm probably 3-5 years away from taking this plunge, but not sure if any of these vehicles would fit your need for sporty... When i say 700, i mean 700 a month 700 due at signing. I don’t typically put any money down on a lease. The Giulias are nice, but again the lack of tech in the Alfas are what has me wanting something different. I love everything about the Stelvio outside of that. The infotainment system is super laggy. Maybe I’m being picky. There’s also the financial part of me that wants to get something that holds value that i can get money back on. Hence my initial thought of getting a 4runner. I know i can drive that for 3 years and get all the money back because I’m getting a nice discount working at a dealership that also sells Toyota. So I’m a bit torn haha

Ah, yeah - I'm paying $375 on a purchase. Put like $2000 down I think? 5 minutes ago, bigbadbuff said: There’s also the financial part of me that wants to get something that holds value that i can get money back on. MKnight82
@ET80 I'll probably buy another car within a year or so. I need a bigger SUV for trucking the kids around. Jeep Grand Cherokee is definitely on my radar but did you test drive a Kia Telluride? They look pretty cool imo.

Basically the same thing as a Hyundai Palisade with different badges.
