7DnBrnc53's third 2021 mock (2-rounder)

Recommended Posts

1. Jacksonville: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson
2. N.Y. Jets: Zach Wilson, QB, BYU
The two lead-pipe locks at this point.
3. San Francisco (from MIA thru HOU): Mac Jones, QB, Alabama
It actually sounds like Shanahan is going to get his man here, even though SF’s personnel department is in favor of Lance.
4. Atlanta: Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota St.
Cam Marino of USA Today has indicated that the Falcons will take Lance if he falls to them.
5. Cincinnati: Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon
It sounds like Joe Burrow wants LSU’s Chase, but Sewell is the smarter pick by far.

TRADE: Denver sends the ninth overall pick, third-rounder (71st overall), and 2022 fifth-rounder to the Dolphins for the sixth overall pick.

6. Denver (from MIA thru PHI): Justin Fields, QB, Ohio St.
Probably won’t play right away, but has potential to finally be the QB that Denver has been searching for since late 2014, when Manning started to decline.
7. Detroit: Kyle Pitts, WR/TE, Florida
According to Todd McShay, this is the lowest he will go. Can compliment Hockenson, or move to WR and be the next Calvin Johnson.

TRADE: Philadelphia sends the 12th overall pick and a third-rounder (70th overall) to Carolina for the eighth overall selection.

8. Philadelphia (from CAR): Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU
Eagles have been hurting for the last few years at WR.
9. Miami (from DEN): Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama
OL is also a possibility, but my sense is that they want one of the top four pass catchers.
10. Dallas: Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama
Cowboy pass defense was woeful last year, and this is looking like a lock.
11. N.Y. Giants: Micah Parsons, LB, Penn St.
According to Peter King, Gettleman is leaning toward Parsons right now.

12. Carolina (from PHI thru MIA & SF): Alijah Vera-Tucker, OT/G, USC
CB could also be an option here, but they have a crying need at LT.
13. L.A. Chargers: Alex Leatherwood, OT, Alabama
Bit of a reach, but Leatherwood has been inexplicably dropping way too far on some draft boards.
14. Minnesota: Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech
Vikes really haven’t had a legit LT since Mount McKinnie.
15. New England: Zaven Collins, LB, Tulsa
Has been compared to former (and current) Patriots Jamie Collins and Kyle Van Noy.
16. Arizona: Jaycee Horn, CB, So. Carolina
FA signing Malcolm Butler and Robert Alford are FA’s next year.
17. Las Vegas: Rashawn Slater, OL, Northwestern
Can play almost anywhere on the offensive line.
18. Miami: Kwity Paye, EDGE, Michigan
Paye can hold his ground in the run and provide pass rush.
19. Washington: Samuel Cosmi, OT, Texas
Another team in the draft that needs blindside help.
20. Chicago: Teven Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma St.
Bears need help at both tackle spots.
21. Indianapolis: DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama
Colts break Smith’s fall here. They need a successor to TY Hilton, who will be 33 and a FA next year.
22. Tennessee: Jaelan Phillips, EDGE, Miami
Tennessee’s anemic pass rush needs more help.
23. N.Y. Jets (from SEA): Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, WILL, Notre Dame
Will help them in their transition to a 4-3 defense.
24. Pittsburgh: Najee Harris, RB, Alabama
Will give them the bell cow RB they have lacked since Le’Veon.
25. Jacksonville (from LA Rams): Christian Barmore, DT, Alabama
Jags have quantity at DT, but not much quality.
26. Cleveland: Jamin Davis, LB, Kentucky
More help for a LB core that was below average last year.
27. Baltimore: Jayson Oweh, OLB, Penn St.
Ravens have lost Judon and Ngakoue, and Pernell McPhee will be FA next year.
28. New Orleans: Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech
S and WR is also possible, but they can’t pass up the falling Farley, who is projected to go top-16.

29. Green Bay: Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida
Rodgers finally gets more help at that position from the explosive Toney, who can also be a punt returner.
30. Buffalo: Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson
The scuttlebutt is that they want to trade up for him. No need, as he falls right in their lap.
31. Baltimore (from KC): Dayo Odeyingbo, DE/DT, Vanderbilt
Calais Campbell is a FA next year, and will be 36. Also, Derek Wolfe has been injury prone in the past.
32. Tampa Bay: Tyson Campbell, CB, Georgia
Campbell has quality size and cover skills.

ROUND TWO

33. Jacksonville: Jackson Carman, OT, Clemson
34. N.Y. Jets: Eric Stokes, CB, Georgia
35. Atlanta: Carlos Basham, EDGE, Wake Forest
36. Miami (from HOU): Javonte Williams, RB, North Carolina
37. Philadelphia: Pat Freiermuth, TE, Penn State
38. Cincinnati: Gregory Rousseau, DE, Miami
39. Carolina: Jevon Holland, FS, Oregon
40. Denver: Trevon Moehrig, SS, TCU
41. Detroit: Jabril Cox, ILB, LSU
42. N.Y. Giants: Azeez Ojulari, EDGE, Georgia
43. San Francisco: Aaron Robinson, CB, UCF
44. Dallas: Daviyon Nixon, DT, Iowa
45. Jacksonville (from MIN): Richie Grant, SS, UCF
46. New England: Kyle Trask, QB, Florida
47. L.A. Chargers: Greg Newsome II, CB, Northwestern
48. Las Vegas: Levi Onwuzurike, DT, Washington
49. Arizona: Joe Tryon, EDGE, Washington
50. Miami: Jalen Mayfield, OT, Michigan
51. Washington: Jay Tufele, DT, USC
52. Chicago: Terrace Marshall, WR, LSU
53. Tennessee: Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue
54. Indianapolis: James Hudson, OT, Cincinnati
55. Pittsburgh: Landon Dickerson, C, Alabama
56. Seattle: Kelvin Joseph, CB, Kentucky
57. L.A. Rams: Creed Humphrey, C, Oklahoma
58. Kansas City (from BAL): Rashad Weaver, DE, Pittsburgh
59. Cleveland: Wyatt Davis, G, Ohio St.
60. New Orleans: D’Wayne Eskridge, WR, Western Mich.
61. Buffalo: Brevin Jordan, TE, Miami
62. Green Bay: Liam Eichenberg, OT, Notre Dame
63. Kansas City: Trey Hill, OG/C, Georgia
64. Tampa Bay: Joseph Ossai, EDGE, Texas

Cam Marino and I write for the same site. And I've been told similar things.

What is with you not understanding that you'll need to give up more than this to make the move up for a QB?

I would be super Butt hurt if that's all the Dolphins got to trade back to pick 9.  People in Hell have a better chance of drinking Ice Water than Dolphins GM Chris Grier giving away that pick for a 3rd rounder LMAO.  Make that 3rd round pick a 2nd round pick and that 2022 5th a 3rd and there's a solid chance it could happen......Then again probably not with Chase and Pitts both still on the board.

The positions are good, but the value is not. Ossai is better here than Weaver. While C was a hole, it is also one they addressed in free agency. Walker Little makes more sense, since there is a long term need at OT.

If Falcons take Lance then Arthur Smith and Terry Fontaneau better get keep there resumes updated. He will doom then.

Agreed this is worst case scenario for us and gets a big fat F from me on this draft.   I pray that the 49ers take Lance at 3 to keep the Falcons from making a mistake like this.

Heck before i would settle for Lance at 4 i would gladly take that trade from denver for 9 a 3rd and a 5th and drop down to 9 for crap value coming back just so we don't take Lance at 4.   Then take Parsons at 9 and let Denver have Lance at 4.
