Just Want A Title
A lot of folks have us dialed into WR in the first round but this is a deep draft for WR. A lot of folks won't agree with my 1st round pick but if Roquan Smith can be drafted in the top 10... Rd 1,7: Micah Parsons LB-Jamie Collins is our best LB. Jahlani Tavai is our 2d best LB. That pretty much says it all Rd 2, 41: Dyami Brown WR-Good Size, speed and YAC. He will be a great compliment to the routes that Hockenson and Swift will be running Rd 3, 72: Bobby Brown DT- An under the radar prospect in the press. Good size and a lot of upside. Worth the risk at this spot considering this class of DTs Rd 3, 101: Mike Stratchar WR-6'5", 225Lbs, 10-inch hands and runs a 4.5 40. Kenny Galloday 2.0. Kind of raw because he played at Charleston but he is getting picked at the right spot. Rd 4, 112: Robert Rochell CB- Good triangle numbers and a team captain at Central Arkansas. Should be a solid special-teams/depth player initially Rd 5, 153: Elijah Mitchell RB-5'8" 218 Lbs Sub 4.4 40. Somewhat linear but had a good Senior Bowl. A tough inside runner with some upside. More quality depth and special teams. Tear it up!
diehardlionfan
I’m not going to rip it apart but I will say no thank you. I can’t imagine a scenario where Parsons is the best option at 7.
BarryTheBest
I like Parson a lot, but have a hard time believing he will be the bpa at 7. I would be disappointed if we drafted him over Sewell, Chase, or Pitts. If those guys are gone, that would mean that 2 of the top 5 QBs are still around and a trade down could happen. It does take two to tango however, and we could be deciding between Fields, Lance, Jones, or Parsons in some combination... Not sure I would want Parsons over Fields/Lance, but certainly would take him over Jones.. I am still so torn.. Lol As for the rest, definitely a different take. I like Brown in the second. Karnage84
I'm with @Louis Friend, I draw the line at sexual assault. If the Lions have done their due diligence, it is very far from what has been reported and he's there in a trade down.. maybe... maybe. At #7, zero chance. I think the worst thing I saw was hazing/harassment. Where are you seeing that?

Not sure how definitive conclusions can be drawn.

Where are you seeing that? I don't think that he was because you would need people to cooperate and corroborate the story. However, you have a star player and several other guys who has been accused by another male. It probably never went too far and people weren't too motivated to follow it to its end. I don't believe that Parsons disputes some elements of it but he probably does not acknowledge some of the grosser details.

Where are you seeing that? Penn Live Website Quote The new court filing says the following incident occurred on March 26, 2018: Humphries was awakened by Parsons throwing water on him in the Morgan Academic Center and responded by throwing a bottle of Gatorade back. Parsons then punched Humphries in the face with a close fist, grabbed hold of his neck and began choking him, the filing claims Fearful he would be unable to defend himself, Humphries brandished a knife, the complaint says. Neither player suffered substantial injury. Quote He alleges in the complaint that Barber, Parsons, Gross-Matos did the following to him and certain other players: -Took their clothes and did not return them. -Told them they intended to make them “their ***** because this is a prison.” -Wrestled them down and simulating a humping action while on top of them. -Placed their penis in their faces while simulating ejaculation. -Placed their penis on and in their buttocks. Parsons addresses assault allegations Quote Parsons was among a group of players that allegedly hazed former Penn State player Isaiah Humphries, according to the lawsuit. Parsons did not address the suit specifically but did say that "obviously people have concerns about things that came up." "At the end of the day, I believe that I was a kid," Parsons said. "I was 17-18. We all made mistakes when we were 17-18. I’m not going to let it control or dictate the person I am now. I’m not going to let something that was 3-4 years [ago] dictate who I've become and the father I want to be." Parsons reportedly choked, punched, humped and attempted to penetrate with his penis his teammate. He does not even deny doing this. He simply claims, it was a few years ago and he's changed. No, he was not charged. Does not mean the matter is not a MAJOR red flag. Especially the fact that he thinks this is something young adults just do and grow out of. Louis Friend
I’m not arguing against his talent. And I appreciate the fact that he doesn’t try to deny what he did. But it’s a very big red flag for me and he’s off my board entirely.
Lions017
I'd be happy with Parsons at like...pick 15. If you pick a LB at 7 you had better be sure that they're going to have a Kuechly-like impact, and I'm not sure if Parsons will.

Young people make mistakes but few of them make mistakes like Parsons.
