AB re signs with the Bucs

It’s amazing how clueless the average fan is about how lucky Tampa was last year.

No AB for 8 games. 9+ would be better this year

No Howard for 12 games and the playoffs

No Godwin for 4 games.

Evans played 16 but dealt with an injury

Vita Vea missed 11 games and 2 playoff games

Devin White was ruled out of a playoff game by the NFL schedule makers

Both safties were injured going into the playoffs

RB1 Jones missed a few games and a playoff game.

This is about normal. Not being destroyed like the 2012 Eagles or the 2020 Cowboys is not lucky. If it is then Rodgers has been lucky every year but 3 or 4.

Wow this is a bad pick up. AB is a locker room cancer and will most likely destroy the chemistry the team has. AB is too much of a head case I dont see how this benefits the Bucs.

Is this supposed to be tongue in cheek orrrrrr?

just hope this doesnt take too much away from Mike

he needs to pad that record and get an 8th straight season at 1K

Evans got his 1k this year despite being hobbled for at least 3/4 games, if he’s healthy all season he should make it again. It’s Godwin and maybe Miller AB will take touches from.

What's lucky is when those guys were out. O.J. Howard was the only remotely noteworthy player on the Bucs that wound up on full blown IR. They were fully healthy for the superbowl, which is very fortunate. They were just out Brown, Vea, and Winfield against Green Bay. Just Vea against New Orleans. Overall injury luck on the year, they were slightly fortunate (they had somewhere between the 7th and 10th fewest man games lost, last year), but it's the timing that was fortunate. Most teams steadily get less and less healthy as the year presses on. What's fortunate and unusual is that they were the healthiest they ever were on the last game of the season. That is not normal. That's why Tampa's injury luck wasn't really a topic until the superbowl. No one was saying in week 13 that they were super lucky, or anything. It was just when they got to the end, and all their injured guys were back fully healthy, and you had Tampa as the healthiest they'd really been all year, against KC, who had a more normal trend and was at a lowpoint in team health, that it became a topic. The health of the two teams was a huge, huge narrative at the end, for good reason.
