What I’ve been told, by a reliable source —- @Patriots are working on a new contract for Jimmy G that could lead to a deal with @49ers. Same source who correctly told me Tom Brady had signed with @Buccaneers. Doesn’t mean it will get done, but they’re working on it.

That would be great news for us.

I'd still worry about Atlanta, Detroit, WFT, and Carolina going for a QB......

That said, rumors are ALL OVER the place for the Bears..... you've got "insiders" coming out of the woodwork connecting us to literally every QB, offensive tackle, half the WRs, and that CB from Northwestern at this point.... We're also (according to "insiders") trading up, trading down, and standing pat at 20.

But fwiw, here's the rumor I'll start.... If Fields makes it past Carolina at 8, the Bears will trade with Denver and get him @ 9 .  I believe he's the guy Nagy/Pace want, and I can't see us landing picks 4,5, or 6 (and 7 is Detroit, they simply aren't going to let us trade up for a QB)

Hoge from Hoge and Jahns keeps talking up Kellen Mond, and how he thinks we're getting him in the first round even...

Biggs:

NFL sources say the Detroit Lions at No. 7 and Carolina Panthers at No. 8 also have made it known those picks are available

Philadelphia Eagles might trade out of the No. 12 pick, especially if a cornerback they’re eyeing isn’t available

The New England Patriots at No. 15 and Washington Football Team at No. 19 have consistently been linked to this quarterback class

Every year during pre-draft season I try to remind people to take everything you read and/or "hear" with a large grain of salt because most of the time it's just smoke.  This is why we end up with so many of those "WOW, I can't believe it" moments...... and I suspect we'll get alot of em again this weekend.

I believe Allbright said he suspects the Chargers to trade up with detroit and take Sewell.

Yes it would!

If Mac Jones doesn't got #3.... does he fall to #20?

I don’t think he slides that far.  I think someone one would trade up and grab him before he got that far.  Just our luck WFT would take him one pick before us just like Aaron Donald.
