IIRC, Newman has said that he wants to take a break from football, then come back to coach. He would be a stellar signing for anyone, and I hope its Minnesota

I think Newman is seen by other coaches and teams as a potential member of a defensive staff.  If he's smart...and I believe that he is...he won't tie his wagon only to Zimmer.
