There's that word again: entitled. I don't get it. Entitled to what? A worse record next year? Because I think most people who want to move on to Love (or more specifically to myself, don't care one way or another whether we move on or not) know that that is the outcome. They don't think we're going to have a better record without Rodgers. So entitled to what? Don't say "Aaron Rodgers has given everything to the Packers" or like Davante said "he put his life on the line" - come on. he was paid handsomely for the opportunity. All of this exact same tired stuff about him "giving so much to the team" was said about Favre. If it's "entitled" to say he was well-compensated, then I guess I'm entitled, but it's a misuse of that word, wholesale.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to connect the dots. Please give me a break. Believe whatever you want to believe. Rodgers was definintely tampered with. They tried to force a trade. Just watch the ugliness continue to unfold. Dunn is notorious for this kind of crap. Aaron JUDAS Rodgers. I was his biggest supporter and huge fan. What occurred on draft day caused me to do a 180. The only crybaby attitude is that of the aforementioned AJR. Leaps of logic? Doesn't take a leap. Assuming that this is all just coincidence is a joke. Question for all you deniers why has Rodgers not come out publicly to squash any of this? hmmm???? I'll wait.

If it's "entitled" to say he was well-compensated, then I guess I'm entitled, but it's a misuse of that word, wholesale. Well said. The facts simply are Rodgers is currently under a contract he signed in which he owes 3 more seasons. He is paid an enormous amount of money, and his cap hit really hurts. What, as it sits 20% of total player salary? The biggest thing overlooked, or knowingly ignored, is Rodgers is not a 28 year old QB. He is a 38 year old QB. He is still a great QB, but at 38 it would be a grave mistake for the team to guarantee him even more money and put us in a position where the team can not get out of it for several years. He is not a god and has failed the team in recent post seasons. 1-4 in NFC Championship games and 1-7 in playoff games when behind at halftime. These are not the results we’ve seen from Brady for just one example. it may be best for Rodgers and the team to come to an agreement, but the team and the future carry the bulk of the weight. It may be best for the team to move on and trade him, but only for great compensation. The team must do what is right for the team today and tomorrow. You could say so should Rodgers. Again, he and his signature owe the Packers 3 more seasons. That is the difference. The Packers are willing to not only honor their signature, but enhance it. There comes a point. If you're actually interested how it came out, the simplest thing it to follow schefty's timeline of reports. He's the guy who broke the story on ESPN. He went in detail on DP's show on why he broke the story that day. Yet, as we've seen in this thread, the AR haters are entitled to ignore the comprehensive timeline break down to placate their hate. https://www.nbcsports.com/video/adam-schefter-chose-break-aaron-rodgers-news-day-2021-nfl-draft
40Year Pack Fan
The psychology of this whole thing is fascinating....Seems Rodger's camp is trying to sell the Packer's organization the idea that what Brady is accomplishing at his age, is the new normal....Will his desire and skillset last AR another six years or is he just out for another big payday?....By leveraging the season he just had, the question is who is going to blink first?... I say force Rodgers to either come back to GB or retire....

Here is the the initial tweet that Adam Schefter broke on Thursday the night of the NFL Draft: Do you see that last line? It's important that you do and it's important that you take in the words, because it CLEARLY states that they were told this by league and team sources on Thursday. I'm going to assume since you're so versed on the Adam Schefter timeline that you're unaware of what a source is considering your current stance. So, here, I will enlighten you. Source: a place, person, or thing from which something comes or can be obtained. If you for one minute do not think Aaron Rodgers leaked this information then you sir are extremely naïve and need to strongly reconsider taking everything you hear at face value and learn to think for yourself. It couldn't possibly be that "league and team sources told ESPN on Thursday" was a generic throw in line to cover for the fact that there really was no breaking information and to justify the dropping of it on draft day, could it? The irony is that you are taking that aspect of his tweet at face value, even after he's explicitly claimed that it wasn't new information, and without a shred of actual evidence that it was. If you for one minute don't believe that a reporter would misrepresent the timing of information received from an anonymous source to boost ratings then you're probably 1 day old.
