What's new?

Posters on this board have whined for 400 pages about Rodgers not being explicit about the underlying issues and how that makes him a p****. What about management and their silence? They know exactly what the issues are. If the dispute is strictly football related, there's no reason why they shouldn't publicly acknowledge at least the general issue, as Rodgers has. They've categorically refused to do even that. Why doesn't their stonewalling make them a bunch of p*****?

This is false.  Gute and MLF each were asked about the prospect of drafting a QB prior to that draft and made it clear that if the right guy were there they wouldn’t hesitate.  Additionally, it’s well known that Green Bay did a TON (I read yesterday the most) work on Love pre draft (meetings with coaches, interviews, workouts, etc).

Love might not have been their plan A, but he was certainly on their radar.

I think they had WRs Jefferson and Aiyuk up there on the board.  Jefferson was gone to Minn, and SF GM Lynch said they got some previous  intel that a team was heavily looking at Aiyuk.   I always suspected they got Intel from MLF talking to his brother who was the SF WRs coach about WRs in the draft (Probably innocent talk about college WRs).   No proof just a suspicion.  SF traded up ahead of GB for Aiyuk, and the Packers took Love.

Gute has always looked at QBs.  Hell, he traded for Kizer, no uproar, it was reported he liked Drew Lock a few years drafted ago and might take him. He drafts Love and everyone goes ballistic.  I had no problem with the pick then or now.  I just hope he pans out.

This is from Outkick and it's funny and true!

"There are two takeaways from Rapoport’s report.

First, write down the names of the NFL “insiders” and “reporters” who said Rodgers wouldn’t play in Green Bay ever again. They were wrong.

Second, the Packers’ Super Bowl odds will skyrocket the moment Rodgers announces he’s back. Head over to FanDuel Sportsbook before they adjust. Actually, wait a few minutes while I get my bet in first."

Why on earth would we bring back Randall Cobb. Dude has seriously lost it. He's slow and can't get open on his own. Plus, MVS, Tonyan and Lazard are now 3, 4 and 5 option and Amari Rodgers probably doesn't see the field. I want nothing to due with Rodgers or Cobb at this point.

EDIT: Cobb has a BASE salary of 8 MILLION DOLLARS THIS YEAR! Are you fricking kidding me! NO way I'd trade for him and that contact.
