Report: Rodgers Wants Out of Green Bay

It’s hard to not agree with Rodgers after what Tampa just did.  You need to constantly make moves IN SEASON to account for injuries and weaknesses to your team.  Every Super Bowl winner does it.

It’s hard to agree with Rodgers.  You can’t friggin do it when your QB is getting paid 12% or more of the cap.

Last year the Packers could have done it, but didn’t.

This year the Packers can’t do it without adjustments from Aaron’s cap hit.

….because we’ve had a HOF QB. Definitely not because of Gute.

You mean the guy who chose Coach Matt LaFleur?

 the guy who brought in

Zadarius Smith

Preston Smith

Adrian Amos

Billy Turner

The guy who  drafted

Jaire Alexander

Rashaan Gary

Darnell Savage

Elgton Jenkins

MVS

not counting the 2020-21 drafts

Made under the radar FA moves such as

Jared Valdeer

Tyler Ervin

Snacks Harrison

Allen Lazard

Ricky Wagner

Brian Gutenkunst is one hell of a GM. What he’s done the past 4 years in very good with the potential to be great.

How?

Our cap situation for the next two years is tight as hell even with the limited roll over we were able to maintain from last year?

Cap isn’t real method.

Not drafting Love and Dillon.

We didn’t go all in last year.  The Buccaneers did.

Granted, with Pettine, it likely wasn’t the best idea to go all in, but conventional wisdom suggests last year was the year to do it knowing 2021 would be a wasted year anyway with Aaron’s cap percentage.

One additional move somewhere gets us past the Buccaneers.

Past the Chiefs?  I don’t know, but past the Buccaneers for sure.

Or two plays! Pettine not putting King on an island right before halftime.

AND

Aaron Rodgers not running it into the end zone on 3rd and goal instead of throwing an incompletion.

Some advice for Rodgers, sometimes it better to first look in the mirror before deflecting blame outward! Pettine paid the price for his boneheaded mistake.

I’d argue a freak injury a couple weeks before the NFCC to one of our top 3 players (a top 15 player in the league!) not happening also gets us past the Bucs.

I have green tinted glasses, but really feel this is one of our best teams we’ve had in my lifetime.

That’s what makes the Rodgers/media B.S. all the more frustrating.

Rodgers/Shefter sharing the same marketing firm has me scratching my conspiracy theory itch.

We ain’t paying 8 million for Cobb. His *** will be cut or released and we will pay him vet minimum.

He won’t even play in every game but I bet he makes a couple big catches on 3rd/4th down during the meat and potatoes.

Cobbs dead cap number is higher than his salary. He won't be cut.

HIS SALARY IS 100% GUARANTEED! ALL 8.25 MILLION DOLLARS OF IT!

Not to mention if the Packers told Rodgers they'd trade for Cobb isn't that tampering?

All I know is that the price of Cobb went up significantly as soon as that story leaked.  Lol.

What an idiot if someone from Aaron’s camp let that leak.

What does he care, the price will come from 2022, when he's long gone

I'm sure Rodgers and Cobb talk, maybe there's something going on between Cobb and Houston and the Deshaun Watson situation.  On the surface. there's no chance in hell I'm paying Cobb $8 million, especially with Amari Rodgers in the fold.  We'll see what happens.

I do not disagree with that sentiment at all.

Rodgers in Green Bay early. Just keeps getting better.

Now that last nights fireworks are over and the situation seems handled let’s discuss the nuts and bolts.

Is this the best team we’ve had in a long time? I think so.
