Unless he was their guy. I'm not going to sit and act like any NFL club would pay me for my opinion on players. But Bill Walsh said once he didn't care if a guy was projected to go in the 7th. If he and his team valued them in 1 he was taking them in 1. You know why? Only takes one other team to think the same way. You guys trip me out. Thinking you know more than guys that get paid millions to.do the job. Its funny really. And np I don't know he would have been there. Darrisaw was taken at 23. How do you know that team didn't have Leqtherwood rated ahead of him? If he is gone how do you know what they had Darrisaw rated at? We could have taken Carmen there for all I know and you know. I get it. You are well versed in football. So am I. But I'll sig bet you anything you want that neither of us will be asked any time soon to mark up a board for the Raiders or anyone else. The worst part is I am having to defend a dude I didn't even want lol. All I was saying is you don't know if he would have been there. And you don't.

Bill Walsh was also highly successful.

Gruden and Mayock are not.

Just thought I'd point that out. Lol

I think @Dessie had 3 of the 4 in his mock.

I did I had Deablo but going in the 4th. Players right but value all over the place. Love this pick, chess piece so can come in in certain situations but also will put Abram on notice that if he doesn’t play well we have someone to step in.

Does make the Muse pick last year kinda redundant though ?

Leatherwood will be a starter solely on his draft status and our lack of other options. Trading diarrhea for a turd at RT isn't much of an upgrade to me, let alone worth wasting a mid 1st rounder on.

Hope to hell he proves me wrong but my expectations are very low.

For day 3, I want either a DT or WR to fill out the bottom of the roster with some size. Seth Willams comes to mind. Stud.

agree on Seth Williams. While I dont think WR is a big need, I think its definitely one of the strongest position groups going into day 3. Just hope the 5th isn't too far out for us to nab one of the good ones left.

I don't mind a trade up. We don't have many openings on the roster that we can just fill with a scrub. We could add a corner, another OL, WR, and DT. But how many quality players will we be able to find at each position where we pick? Not many.

Seeing what we did with our two third rounders only makes me feel more strongly that we should have used them to move back up into the 2nd to grab either of Azeez or JOK

We would have needed to offer both and someone would have had to go from mid 2nd to 2 mid-3rds, really unrealistic.

Via the classic trade chart it would have gotten us to around pick 50

azeez and JOK went 50 and 52

I get what your saying. But who did Gruden coach under? And where would he have heard the same advice. And I'm not sure that Mayock can be blamed for anything. Seeing as Mark, Mike and Jon have all said Gruden makes the final decisions. My whole point was you don't know the kid was gonna be there as an answer to Jim. But I get what you are saying.

I think Azeez's knee must've really looked bad during medicals tbh and JOK may have had a medical issue as well.

Koonce and Deablo weren't sexy picks but they actually fit into similar roles as Azeez or JOK would've here. Koonce as an athletic rotational pass rusher and Deablo as a hybrid SS/LB rover type of player. Not comparing them as prospects, just in terms of roles they'll play. Koonce wasn't loved by the media but it seemed like teams were much higher on him which is why Mel Kiper had him in the 2nd round in his mock draft.

Jeremiah had him at 106 in his final board.
