swede700
Apparently they don't like anyone with the last name of Matthews (1 "T" or 2, it don't matter). Last week, it was Jordan Matthews...now it's Ryan Mathews...and don't forget Casey Matthews. Edited August 15, 2017 by disaacs
SteelKing728
I could see him signing in Baltimore or with the Giants.
swede700
Quote Bobby Beathard was nominated as the contributor candidate for the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Thursday. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/08/25/bobby-beathard-is-contributor-candidate-for-hall-of-fame/ If you can be a fan of a GM, I was a fan of his. The jobs he did in Washington and San Diego were pretty darn good. I recall that he was rumored as a potential candidate for the Vikings' GM after Lynn was oustered, but it never came to fruition....and in a somewhat ironic note, we'll be seeing his grandson play QB for the 49ers on Sunday...CJ Beathard. The Gnat
Maybe it's just less significant players but until Edelman and Ware have been knocked out for the year, I hadn't heard about a ton of ACL/Season Ending injuries this preseason. It might just be that it's been lesser known players this year who've had the injuries, but even just looking at the News forum, Fant and Meredith are two of the other big ones, and they aren't huge names. SteelKing728
List of injuries across the league: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/injuries This may be a better list though: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/injuries/pup Edited August 28, 2017 by SteelKing728

Meredith is Chicago's No. 1 receiver. I'd say that's pretty significant.
swede700
But, is it all that significant if the team that said #1 WR plays for should really be relegated to the CFL?
SteelKing728
I believe some of us wanted the Vikings to draft him because he played at UCLA.
SteelKing728
Here's this too. We'll likely be playing against him week 2.

He would step right in opposite of Smith and he's an upgrade over Sendejo. Would make Sendejo a decent backup option.

NoDakViking
http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/20560111/sua-cravens-washington-redskins-22-pondered-retiring Su'a Cravens is reportedly considering retirement. I remember really wanting him on the Vikings at one point to play a hybrid Safety role. Shame he never quite lived up to the potential.
