They won’t just be the only NFL team to win a division 10 years in a row, but they’ll be just the second team in any of the four major North American sports leagues to win a division 10 years in a row. Only the Atlanta Braves, who won their division every year from 1995 through 2005, have done it before. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/12/08/patriots-a-win-away-from-an-incredible-10th-straight-division-title/ A win will also tie the 1983-98 49ers for most consecutive 10+ win seasons with 16. vike daddy
The NFL’s salary cap is rising again. The league announced today that the salary cap will rise to somewhere in the neighborhood of $190 million in 2019. The 2018 cap is set at $177.2 million. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/12/11/salary-cap-will-be-around-190-million-in-2019/
SemperFeist
That’s about where most cap projection sites had it.
gopherwrestler
Kirk Cousins salary next year is only 14% of that. Which actually isn’t that bad. Look to see those 2020 free agents get extentions next year. Russell and Dak will likely become higher than Kirk.

Not to mention what happens with Mariota and Winston. Edited December 12, 2018 by SemperFeist

Mariota, if he makes the playoffs, two years now.... he will get a contract up there with the big boys.

As of right now Jacksonville is slated to have <$1M in cap space. I’m not sure if they could clear enough to trade for Flacco, plus the other moves they’d need to do. Looking at it now, you're probably right...Jacksonville has screwed themselves with the Bortles deal, as they can't get rid of him until 2020. Denver is likely...but I wouldn't rule out the Raiders either, as VMD says.
VikeManDan
Sign Flacco and trade Carr for a 2020 1st and roll into the 2020 draft, which is in Las Vegas, with 3 1st rounders. Talk about an exciting way to start in Las Vegas!
