No.

One rumor I heard was Tyreek Hill for Clowney.

That would be a bad deal for both teams, as far as I'm concerned.  While I understand Hill is a significant risk, the Chiefs have no other WRs on their roster that are of really any quality...yes, Sammy Watkins included.  I guess if you want to have Mahomes passing it to Kelce every play, they'd be fine.  :D

Clowney was traded to Seattle for a song. As fans with a reasonable level of NFL rules sophistication know, per agreement (the CBA) between the NFL and NFLPA, until after the season Seattle is not allowed to sign Clowney to a contract longer than the one year contract Clowney signed to make the trade to Seattle happen. This largely contributes to the low return the Texans were able to get for Clowney. With details of the contract coming out we see that the Texans even had to pay $7M to get the deal with Seattle done.

Additionally, Clowney was able to get a term on his one-year contract that prevents the Seahawks from applying the franchise tag. Still, with the Texans paying $7M of the salary it is a reasonably priced rental for Seattle.

Bill O’Brien is going to ruin the Texans on his way out the door. He had better hope that they win the Super Bowl.

The Dolphins are clearly tanking. They just traded Kiko Alonso for a backup linebacker. While the draft picks are great, the league should discourage these wholesale fire-sales.

But the league can't (and shouldn't) have any power in stopping them. They can discourage it all they want, but that's as far as it goes.

But the Texans have created such a disaster without a GM, it’s going to lead to the question of who’s even going to want that job?

Someone will definitely still want the job, solely because of the ability to build around Watson.  The real issue is the stability of the ownership.  We have no real idea if McNair's son knows how to run a team...it doesn't appear so, but maybe he's just learning on the fly.

Before they pay Dak, Amari, or Jones!? This is just dumb on the Cowboys part.

How could any GM see what James Conner did while Bell was holding out, or what the Rams got from CJ Anderson, a street free agent, while Gurley was hurt, and allocate that amount of resources to a running back?

Especially a RB who you’ve got roster control of for the next 3 years for approximately $25M.
