And its hard to gauge given Cine is out for the year. In a vacuum yeah we should taken Hamilton, we wont know who actually won the trade for a few years.

That’s the problem and the same philosophy Spielman seemed to employ. Regardless of circumstance, we’ve not had an immediate day one impact first round pick in ages outside of Jefferson. Our first round pick success rate from 2015 until 2022 has to be near the bottom of the league. We found a top 3 WR and a mediocre Center that’s about it.

Did you forget about the starting LT?

While the picks of Waynes, Hughes and Treadwell didn't pan out, they weren't the reason Spielman ended up getting fired.  It was the inability to get any real starters out of the mid-rounds on down.  In 2015, he got Kendricks, Hunter and Diggs from the 2nd on down. But since then, all he had to show for it was Dalvin, O'Neill, Ezra and Dantzler.  He got some depth/ST players (Wonnum, Boyd, Osborn, Conklin), but there wasn't enough other draftees that developed into anything.  That's what cost him his job, in the end.

Let’s not forget the wasted first round pick on Sam Bradford. Think it just got really stale in the end, but usually you don’t get to be part of a front office that spends three first round picks on QBs and still survives without winning any meaningful games.

It’s been reported that former Giants All-Pro wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will make a decision on his 2022 team after Thursday’s game. The Cowboys and Giants are two of the five teams Beckham is reportedly considering signing with along with Kansas City, Buffalo and San Francisco.

Adam Schefter: From team owner and general manager Jerry Jones to players such as Micah Parsons, the Cowboys have been almost openly universal in campaigning for Beckham to come to Dallas.

It will take about $5 million to lure Beckham in for the last quarter of the season.

The Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Day game, which kicks off at 4:30 p.m. ET, annually draws the most television viewers for a regular-season game. They did it again Thursday in record fashion.

The Cowboys’ 28-20 victory over the Giants drew 42 million viewers, according to Fox. That makes it the most-watched regular-season game on any network in history.

It broke the previous regular-season mark of 41.474 million viewers for the 1990 49ers-Giants game.

Following another poor performance by the Broncos offense I had a number of questions pop up regarding any possible outs in Russell Wilson’s recent $245 million contract extension and what would be the realistic timetable for moving on from Wilson. Much like Aaron Rodgers’ contract the deal is a bit complicated but there is far less chance of retirement or trade in this situation.

Feel like this is the type of move that should cost the GM his job. Or will they blame the head coach and not the decision to bring in the QB.

It depends upon the "collaboration" involved in making the decision to bring him in.  While Hackett is likely to get fired (I personally think they should give him one more year), he'd be the easy scapegoat. But, I'm not sure anyone could have anticipated how Russ would just fall apart.  I think everyone knew he was an odd duck, but not that his effort would fall off like it has.
