Maybe he can stick to commercials, which aren’t too bad.

I hope his "buddy" Kyler Murray sees that and changes his attitude, otherwise he may follow the same path. Murray’s physical skill set is always going to keep him a job. Mayfield just doesn’t do anything special, and his attitude has prevented him from being a true student of the game. Which he needed to become.
swede700
Really, it's the Texans that should claim Mayfield, just to give them a somewhat legitimate option to start the rest of the season. Then Kyle Allen will be given the opportunity to have given way to both Kyler Murray (at Texas A&M) and Baker Mayfield. The Texans will be taking a QB #1 overall anyway, so it doesn't really hurt them to take a flyer on a veteran QB who won't be there next year anyway. wcblack34
I bet the Panthers released him in hopes San Fran will claim him so they’re off the hook for his salary.

swede700
This is rather surprising to me, especially since they've never had a losing season under his leadership. Edited December 6, 2022 by swede700
