To Minnesota For
2020 1st Rounder (Pick #1)
James Johnson
Jake Layman

Minny rolls out a line-up of D'angelo, Malik, Okogie, Gordon & KAT. Pretty solid. Khem is the perfect 5 off the bench for them on a cheap deal. Still get some cheap labor with picks 15 and 45. ORL gets the chance to take #1, which obviously doesn't hold the value it usually does in most years, but still gives them the best chance at landing a guy with whoever they deem has the best chance to be a star. James Johnson on an expiring, decent vet. Layman gives us value on a pretty decent deal there and very serviceable player. Will have him under contract for 2021-2022 as well. I think it makes sense for both sides.

2022 CHA 1st Rounder (top 10 protected) (to ORL)
2021 BKN 2nd Rounder (to ORL)

With Isaac out for the year, we have no chance to do anything next year. Let Vuc go and compete for something, while he's still good. Aids us in our tank for 2021. We scoop up a plethora of picks with two 1st rounders and two 2nd rounders. GS gets a rock solid piece to go with their core 3. With those 3 core guys getting old, they're going all in for a chip with Vuc. CHA throws some a pair of 2nds and what should be a mid 1st rounder to ORL for Wiggs. Graham, Rozier, Wiggins, PJ Washington, #3 pick, is a fun little core for CHA. Think it makes sense for all sides.

* Orlando Signs Didi Louzada to a 3 year 5 million dollar contract

Orlando lowers the cap expense moving from 2 to 13 and picks up what projects to be a very late 1st Rounder in 2021. NO gets someone they think will be a stud as well as Aminu who makes sense for their roster, assuming they're trying to compete next year. Mostly for Orlando, this trade was to acquire Didi Louzada (and the late 1st in 21), who I think could be a stud. 2/3 guy that can shoot, drive and plays his *** off defensively. He's ready to come over. Melli could be a deadline chip, at the very least, valuable stretch 4 for spacing.

1: Markelle Fultz (12.3m)
2: Evan Fournier (17.2m) | Terrence Ross (13.5m) | Didi Louzada (~1.4m)
3: Jonathan Isaac (7.4m) | Jake Layman (3.8m) | James Ennis (2m) | Melvin Frazier (1.7m)
4: James Johnson (16m) | Nicolo Melli (3.9m) | Chuma Okeke (3.2m)

Melvin Frazier (to NY)

Dallas Trades
2020 2nd Rounder (Pick #31) (to NY)
Delon Wright (to NY)
Justin Jackson (to NY)
Jalen Brunson (to ORL)

New York Trades
2021 DET 2nd Rounder (to DAL)
2022 NY 2nd Rounder (to ORL)
Wayne Ellington (to ORL)
Frank Ntilikina (to DAL)

* ORL immediately waives Wayne Ellington; eats 1m in dead cap; 7m off the books

Dallas adds some fire power to their bench and we get worse in our 2021 tank year. New York hops into the deal and gets Delon as their starting PG. For us we free up cap space, get a future 2nd and get a decent prospect in Jalen Brunson who could handle minutes for us or be a decent trade chip. He'll be under contract for an additional year after 2020-2021 season.

1: Markelle Fultz (12.3m) | Jalen Brunson (1.4m)
2: Evan Fournier (17.2m) | Didi Louzada (~1.4m)
3: Jonathan Isaac (7.4m) | Jake Layman (3.8m) | James Ennis (2m)
4: James Johnson (16m) | Nicolo Melli (3.9m) | Chuma Okeke (3.2m)
5: Mo Bamba (5.9m)

NBA Draft

Pick #1: Anthony Edwards
Pick #13: Cole Anthony
Pick #32: Xavier Tillman

1: Markelle Fultz (12.3m) | Cole Anthony (3.7m) | Jalen Brunson (1.4m)
2: Evan Fournier (17.2m) | Anthony Edwards (9.8m) | Didi Louzada (~1.4m)
3: Jake Layman (3.8m) | James Ennis (2m)
4: Jonathan Isaac (7.4m) | James Johnson (16m) | Nicolo Melli (3.9m) | Chuma Okeke (3.2m)
5: Mo Bamba (5.9m) | Xavier Tillman (.9m)

A Fultz/Edwards long-term back court seems like a fun time assuming Edwards get the 3 ball consistent, which I think he will. I think Edwards has the most star potential of this 2020 group of prospects. Think he'll bring a good energy to the team, super charismatic, just seems like a star. Cole Anthony another dude that just seems like a star, he's got "it". I like Cole immediately getting the reserve 1 minutes, but long-term if all of Fultz, Cole and Edwards end up being solid guys, I think it works it out because Cole's pretty solid off-ball on offense. Tillman just seems like a base-hit pick. Great great guy and someone who I like for the culture of the team, rock solid player at the 5 spot, just undersized. Felt we needed a body at the 5 and he's one of the few bigs I like outside the lottery.
