Sounds like he's also a good blocker (GT WR, so of course) and should contribute on ST.
Charles
Meh....good hands. Pretty unremarkable otherwise. Outside chance to make the roster as a depth chart guy. Screams practice squad to me...lack of a pro route tree in college really hurt him.
skaterbirdhouse
Can't say I'm a fan of the position of this pick. Just don't see a late rounder sticking to the roster here personally but with that said I'm willing to patiently wait this one out. I've been wrong before. Uncle Buck
I know he's a wide receiver, but do you know what his description sounds like to me? A TE! Maybe they thought he could fulfill more of a TE's duties than any of the actual TEs that were left on the board. ================================================= Positives Nice-sized receiver coming off a career campaign. Sells routes, uses his frame to shield away defenders, and makes the difficult catch in battles. Extends his hands to offer the quarterback a target, consistently snatches the ball away from his frame, and nicely makes the reception in stride. Gives effort blocking downfield, squaring into opponents, and taking them from the action. Negatives Does not display strong hands. Plays to one speed. Minimally productive until his senior season, and even then his numbers were not out of sight. Analysis Camp is a physical specimen who showed terrific pass-catching skill last season and turned himself into a prospect. He'll need a lot of development before he's ready for the NFL, but in a worst-case scenario, Camp is worth keeping on a practice squad next fall. Tugboat
Vanity project for the Receivers Coach. Yay. Don't really love the track record of these types of "athletic score" without much of a clue types turning out. And probably means they'll stick on the roster over a more deserving/polished receiver. But whatever. New regime needs a new toy to tinker with, and teach how to receiver. At least there seems to be some athletic tools to work with...and if you're gonna try a ball of clay type, a GT WR stereotypically at least, seems like one where you can at least figure it's not just that they cannot take coaching. pwny
The speed and blocking that are being raved about screams special teams either as a gunner or the edge setting blocker. Urban loves his special teams.
