Realistically - you make two first round picks, trade one for picks next year and give Hurts another year to see what he's got. Then you have the ammo to move up if there's a quarterback worth taking (Young, Stroud, Richardson, Sims, Max Johnson, DJ U) if Hurts isn't the guy.

If I'm GM, I use our earliest pick to draft a guy (Hamilton or Hutchinson), I trade one of the picks for an established star that's ready to make an impact on day 1, and trade back the final pick for an extra 2 or '23 1st (hopefully still get Sauce Gardner) And I roll with Hurts one more year.

We pretty much agree - I'd take Hamilton and if Stingley, Leal or Booth are there take one of them and then trade the other first and wait until '23 to make a QB choice.

You say "this Leal guy" like he hasn't been a projected top 10 pick even before the season started along with guys like Stingley, Thibodeaux, Neal, Hamilton, etc.

But, I could see us taking a DT with Cox declining, Hargrave only having 1 more year on his deal, and not much depth behind them. We drafted Milton Williams, but he's raw and has been playing on the outside about as much as the interior.

Haven't watched him at all since i assumed DT wouldn't be a top priority

That's fair. I think A&M is usually a good team to watch on Saturdays just because they have a good amount of pro talent on their team like one of the top iDL (Leal), top RBs (Spiller), top TEs (Wydermyer), top OL (Kenyon Green).
