Shady Slim
to unify the belts as in to hold all the big four sporting chammpionships at the same time i would not think it's ever been done but what's the closest a place has been? just off the top of my head pittsburgh would have held the lombardi alongside lord stanley in 2009 simultaneously, and they would only be missing the commissioner's and who's got a chance in the future? obv states such as california and florida have a high chance based on the sheer number of teams
kempus
1999-00: The Yankees and Rangers were both champions. 2012 and 2014: San Fran Giants and LA kings. 2010: San Fran Giants and LA Lakers 2004: Red Sox and Patriots 2003: Bucs and Marlins 2002: Angels and Lakers 1994: Cowboys and Rockets 1993: Blue Jays and Canadiens (If you put Canada together) 1989: Oakland As and 49ers (Lakers also lost in the finals) 1988: Dodgers and Lakers 1985 and 1982: Lakers and 49ers 1981: Dodgers and Raiders 1979: Pirates and Steelers 1972: Oakland As and Lakers 1969: Jets and Mets Thats about as far back as you can go with current teams and championships. So, two titles simultaneously has been done fairly often, but never 3.
Shady Slim
well found new england had a team in every major league playoff occurring in calendar year 2017 but naturally the sox and bruins bowed out limply and then the celtics couldn't get through cleveland
J-ALL-DAY
I wouldn't even consider the Giants and LA teams winning as unifying. For one, there is a NorCal and SoCal rivalry, and two, they are like six or seven hours apart. Almost like they are in different states. Oakland Athletics and 49ers would work.
