King it sure seems like 60 years, but in reality it has been six years how much longer before we are playoff contenders ????????????

I have no idea. We’re getting “better” but slower than other teams. It’s really gonna be on Zach and his consistency ultimately.

It’s always a process. Everyone always needs “more time”. Eventually you have to show something. And Douglas “rebuild” doesn’t look great so far.

what was Hall the only player from his first draft on the field Sunday?

Everyone has to do better. GM and coaches. It’s still ridiculous we handed Wilson the job and didn’t bother to bring in someone with experience behind him.

Exactly. Everyone needs more time is the excuse. There’s always an excuse with this team. The excuse for Q after his rookie year was he was a rookie. Last year he upped his game big time. But what has he done in 2 games this season? Nothing. But yet again there’s an excuse for him Bc he missed camp. It’s always some excuse. And never just holding the players and staff accountable

Some of you all are just unreasonable. If a player isn't all pro day 1 they are a bust.  If Fletcher Cox was a Jet we would have fans saying how he was a bust.

Well it’s a good thing the fans don’t directly impact the outcome of the games right?

Correct. But when was the last time we drafted a player and they were good for us for more than a few years? We as a fan base have EVERY RIGHT to be critical.

Well when I hear stories about how the Jets organization actually listens to fans, that is when it became clear why this organization has been a joke.

Joe Douglas and Saleh need to ignore the noise, they have a plan and are laying the foundations for it. Keep with it and hopefully we will finally build a winner.  Its not going to be this season though, that is a fact and was always a fact. 7 rookies starting means rebuild season. Hopefully they get better as the season goes on and give us hope for the future.

I hear ya. And something that “sounds good”

But reality is different. Look at last years draft class and how they’re with us this year.

Last years draft class is still a question. Becton got injured so that is just unlucky.  Mims is still developing and who knows where his career goes here, unfortunately for him there are guys above him and he doesn't play ST.   Zuniga looks like a bad pick.  Ashtyn Davis still a question mark because he had some injury that he kept him out so we don't know if he'll be anything or not.

Perine was having a good camp before he had some injury and who knows what role he'll have cause I think MC and Ty Johnson are going to do good.  James Morgan bad pick.  Cameron Clark seems to be unlucky with injuries so far, who knows if he'll be anything. Braden Mann  will probably be our punter for the next decade. Bryce Hall is a starting CB for us.

Most players don't make it from drafts, so we'll see.   This years draft has 7 starting right now.

Asking the players to play better isn’t unreasonable, asking the coaches to coach better isn’t unreasonable, asking the GM to draft well isn’t unreasonable.

Back to Back weeks we get uninspired performances.

You really hit a nerve with this one line post. Look at our record drafting star offensive playmakers

Dustin Keller outstanding player but only played 41/2 years in the NFL drafted in 2008

Santana Moss put up big numbers played only four years with the Jets went on to have big years in Washington. drafted in 2001.

Keyshawn Johnson another big numbers guy only played four years with Jets, went on to put big numbers with Tampa Bay drafter in 1996.

Laveranuse Coles another big  number guy drafted in 2000 played three years for us went to Washingyon, came back to the Jet and still put up numbers.

This the list of top offensive playmakers we drafted since 1996.  This is all we got in the last 25 years.

We had Devin Cook, for the taking in the second round but we passed on him and took Maye. Maye is a good player, but he is no Cook.

The NFL went all out offensive around 2000 and this is the list of players we drafted, TO KEEP UP WITH THE TIMES.  THIS IS FLAT OUT PATHETIC.

This is just a follow up to above post

Most of our playmakers over the last 25 years came via the FA market.

Marshall. Decker, Ivory, Brandon Edwards, Ladainian Tomlinson, Curtis Martin, Thomas Jones. All player were either 1000 yard + rushers or 1000 yard + receivers. most were here only a couple of year except Curtis Martin.

NOW WE ARE IN THE SIXTH YEAR OF OUR REBUILDING PROGRAM

Lets check out one of our other rebuilding programs

IN 1995 the Jets were 3-13

in 1996 the Jets were 1-15

in 1996 new coach Bill Parcells,  Jets were 9-7

in 1997 They were 12-4 and lost the AFL championship game to John Elway & Denver. That is what i call a rebuilding program.

It took ten years to build the Suez Canel, we got a shot of breaking that record.

We are in year 1 of our rebuild. Saleh/Douglas rebuild. So we'll see where this goes when we get there.
