I see Watkins being more of a natural fit into our scheme.

My question is: will our scheme remain our scheme, or will the scheme evolve into something different with the recent additions we've made? I can see it becoming a little bit more vertical eventually. Which bodes really well for Aiyuk, in my opinion. Deebo is great, and a great fit for what we've done the last two years, but it doesn't seem to be sustainable to just throw your playmakers into traffic this much. But Watkins does seem to have a good eye and good hands for verticality. If he can be tough to bring down too, that's great. But maybe that won't be the focal point of our offense at some point. Love to watch Kittle fight off tacklers, but I enjoy watching him running away from defenders a lot more.

I think this draft has shown that offensive versatility is key. Plus, we now have a QB who can put the ball 60 yards in the air with ease, so yeah, we need people who can stretch the field. I think separation and yac are still going to be prominent components to our offense moving forward, though.

The four NFC West clubs will carry these players on their roster until the end of training camp.

At that time, the players are eligible for an international player practice squad exemption, granting the team an extra practice squad member that is ineligible to be activated during the 2021 season.
