Yeah our CB unit could use some depth, but our starters aren't bad. We haven't seen Mullen in this scheme yet, but he should be solid. Facyson and Hobbs have been more than serviceable. Hayward should have at least a year left as a backup at least. Plan to reinforce, of course, but it's not a top priority.

Perryman is a thumper. I like him against the run, but not so much against the pass. Littleton is ok, but I think he's replaceable. But our 3rd spot....man we need something. We don't have what I would consider a TE stopping LB, and it's shown.

WR...Robinson, Adams, Juju would be my primary targets. If we can't get one of them, Ross wouldn't be awful. I'd also try and get a potential sneaky good signing like Cedrick Wilson (he tore us up in Dallas, and he's like their 4th WR). If memory serves me correctly, Lazard, MVS, and St Brown from the Packers are all set to be potentially available. I doubt they keep all 3, and any of them could be potential heavy. I'm hoping Drake London falls into the 2nd due to his injury, I think he's an absolute stud in the making. Later picks I'd consider include Khalil Shakir (Boise St), Joe Ngata (Clemson), Jalen Cropper (Fresno), Emika Emezie (NC St).

There's definitely plenty of options to go around.

I’ll say this: not only do we have less need than before but they need that we do you have aren’t as hard to get. For example, it’s much easier to get a nose tackle than it is to get a 3T

If the draft were today. I would go with Ahmad Gardner. Need a young guy who can team up with Mullen. Hayward been very good and they should offer to bring him back for 1 more year but he will also be 33. Think it’s crazy to think you can depend on him keeping this level next year. If Gus is back Gardner would be an ideal fit. Think by the draft he’s a top 10 pick tho

He is the only player I have focused on so far via 1st round prospects.  You're exactly right, in that everything points to him being a stud and come draft day he will be a top 10ish pick.  If he somehow slips to us we need to make that pick!

And how do we improve our run defense? We're slightly out of the Top 10 in the pass defense and far away from them in the run defense. And you guys would like to pick an CB in the 1st.

This team is devoid of talent across the board.  We need young studs at impact positions.

How do we improve the run d?  We need to improve our interior DL and LB's.  That's how.  Even with the improvement with our run D this is no where near a legit playoff caliber team.

What is your suggestion for our 1st round pick?  A two down, run stuffing NT who cant rush the passer?

I think the deficiencies in the run defense are partially purposeful. Bradley has his DTs shoot upfield to create a pass rush, even on what traditionally have been run downs. The trade off is more pressure for a worse ypc against. It's not dissimilar to teams playing more two high.

Is rushing the passers something untraceable for a guy like Jordan Davis?

I think the CB class is deeper than the IDL class and we rather find a good CB (McCreary from Auburn?) in the 2nd than an IDL. But I might be wrong.

Something that gets lost in draft talk, especially 6 months out, is that we do not know when players are going to be picked. As fans, we are reliant on the media to lay out ranges of where players will be picked, and that changes on a weekly basis. So, when we say that we would take player X, well, we really don't know whether he will be available when the Raiders pick. Heck, we don't know when the Raiders will pick. We don't even know what the Raiders needs will be, especially before free agency.

This far out from the draft, it looks like corner and linebacker will be deep, which means the Raiders might be able to address other positions in free agency. That's why I would prefer the Raiders target a corner or linebacker in the first round. But, again, things are subject to change very quickly.

I don't think LB with all the SS/LB the Raiders drafted.
