Small Town Values
Random: (Kinda cool, I suppose) It seems Michael Bennett is in New Zealand on holiday. While there he caught up with the Blues rugby team... https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/super-rugby/101567581/seattle-seahawks-star-michael-bennett-declares-nfl-can-learn-plenty-from-rugby Quote Super Bowl-winning Seattle Seahawks NFL star Michael Bennett loves watching rugby – and not just because he admires the toughness of a code that eschews helmets and pads, and plays through the pain barrier. Bennett, who attended the Blues' training session in Auckland in Monday while in the city on vacation, spoke glowingly of not just his admiration for the sport of rugby and its finest practitioners, the All Blacks, but also the important lessons it offers he and his fellow NFL players. So many of New Zealand's professional rugby fraternity closely follow the NFL, and identify with the sport intrinsically as a fellow power code with an array of super-sized athletes. But it turns out that appreciation is a two-way street. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I had no idea that ROG (Ronan O'Gara) is now coaching in New Zealand in the Crusaders assistant role... https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/super-rugby/100880791/new-crusaders-assistant-ronan-ogara-casts-aside-bad-memories-to-join-mythical-team (Pretty cool. He's somewhat of a cult figure for various reasons)

In the Wales match they were completely dominated physically and against England they were so strong in the breakdowns. Night and day performances between the two. Away form is still a major problem but what a win.

Taking into account the result of Scotland's first game, it's quite interesting that the Scots are right back in the thick this competition, heading into the business end. If they can knock Ireland off? (Remembering the Irish were lucky to beat France) - They have a good shot at winning the whole thing. While Wales after back to back losses are out of the running in 2018. This Six Nations has certainly been wild. With only Italy preforming predictably. Small Town Values
News: USA get first series win on home soil https://www.worldrugby.org/sevens-series/news/317218 Quote USA beat Argentina 28-0 to win their first Cup final of the season, as Fiji take Bronze at the HSBC USA Sevens ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Great stuff. What an absolute Rugby 7s beast Baker has turned into... While Seven-a-side rugby is not the full version of the game... Baker gives us a glimpse of the untapped potential the US possesses in terms of pure athletes. Easily the most exciting player the circuit has seen since the William Ryder era. Baker is on his way to becoming one of the all-time Sevens greats. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wales to play historic Test match against South Africa in Washington this summer: https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/wales-play-historic-test-match-14340042 Quote Wales will take on South Africa in a ground-breaking fixture in the USA this summer. They will meet the Springboks in Washington DC on Saturday, June 2, to kick off their 2018 tour, ahead of travelling to Argentina. It will be the first time they will have played a Test match against a side other than the US Eagles in the States. ~~~~~~~~~~ Seems like a poorly planned fixture, tbh... Not sure what type of reception this exhibition match will garner, OR - if will receive any attention at all?
