RaidersAreOne
Pelissero: #Lions center Frank Ragnow’s four-year extension is worth $13.5 million per year, per source. Huge money for Ragnow, one of Detroit’s centerpiece players who’s now under contract for just under $70 million through 2026.
MOSteelers56
I'm excited to see this new Lions team. They really seem to be emphasizing physical football.
Louis Friend
Brad Holmes stated that once the draft was over, signing Ragnow to an extension was his top priority. Glad it got done early. Decker/Jackson/Ragnow/Vaitai/Sewell is a nice young OL. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
soflbillsfan
This team isnt flashy, they dont have a fancy new franchise qb, they dont have the ideal HC that people are talking about but I honestly like what this organization has quietly done this offseason. Goff no longer has the LA pressure, you have a solid young oline. You just need to get the weapons going and they could be ready to compete at the right time with Rodgers possibly on his way out, the division may be up for grabs. Soko
Pretty pricey, dang. Makes me appreciate Andrews’ deal at 4/$19M. But got the impression Ragnow was a very good player, so you have to like what Detroit’s building so far.
Uncle Buck
They should have taught Ragnow a lesson and sent him down to the lowly 1-15 Jaguars. After all, the Lions can't eat ALL the kneecaps out there. Hahaha. Nice re-signing, Lions fans. Ragnow is a good one.
Johnny Nix
Still stings when the Lions took him just before the Bengals pick. Ended up with Billy Price. Talk about polar opposites.

A terrible oline coach in Jim Turner (thankfully gone now) and injuries. Price was an iron man in college, but then tore his pec at the combine and has had nagging injuries ever since. Hasn't been through one season healthy yet.

Jim Turner and injuries have a hand in this, but let’s be real. Billy was well-overdrafted and just wasn’t a very good prospect. It’s not surprising to see him bust. He hasn’t even flashed as an average center in the NFL. Ragnow will always be the one that got away.
MWil23
Between him, Decker, and Sewell, this Lions OL is going to be really good for a while. I wonder if Swift is able to make some strides this year as a runner.
THE DUKE
The Lions problem now is going to be, that unless their defense is complete dog crap worst in the league, they are going to be too good to get an early QB, so they might have to ride with Goff for a while or hope they win the post first round QB lottery. Depending on how early we are talking they might have enough from the trade with the Rams to move up if necessary. They will have 2 first rounders in 22 and 23. That might work, but that also has them getting the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th QB still unless someone like Jacksonville or Cincinnati has the 1st pick and wants to pass on QB. I'll be surprised if either of those pick 1st though.
