Both had very similar final seasons in terms of stats. If Devonta can prove he can beat press coverage as a pro, then he will have the better career. His route running is one the crispest i've seen and he has a champion mentality. The separation he created at the highest level in NCAA was mind blowing to watch.

Pitts.

I think Bateman will do well but suffer statistically from playing with Lamar. I think from a production standpoint Eskridge could be a surprise. I feel he's the kind of WR that will be productive with Wilson getting him the ball.

I have a weird feeling this will be a "down" year for rookie WRs. None of them scream 1200 yard season to me. I think there will be some fine pros in the group, just maybe not elite rookie years. Chase would be an easy answer, but him sitting out worries me. The kids that have good QBs will be competing for targets with good groups of WRs. The one's that don't have as much talent at WR seem to have question marks surrounding the QB.

Chase- year removed, fighting for targets with Boyd/Higgins

Bateman- not enough volume

Waddle- massive QB questions plus he will be fighting for targets

Smith- probably best chance given everything. Its all dependent on how good Hurts really is but he will be the #1 WR from the jump with the clearest path to a statistically great season

Even the Florida kid on the G-Men is going to be fighting for targets, and that's not mentioning how Danny Dimes does.

Yeah Toney I didnt even list because to me his is a specialist like Henry Ruggs. I dont expect any real consistent production from him even though he might have some big plays here and there.

I voted other and my other is Amon Ra St. Brown with the Lions and Jared Goff. Jamarr Chase and Devonta Smith are also fantastic options, but they would have been regardless of situation they were drafted to. Elijah Moore was someone I thought about, but his heavy slot work will compete with Jamison Crowder and he has a rookie QB. Amon Ra St Brown has nifty route running and quick feet that should allow him to quickly become one of if the not the favorite Goff's volume quick passes. Maybe I missed something, but the guys Amon Ra are competing against are Tyrell Williams, off injury, who is a boundary guy, Quintez Cephus who is talented but isn't "fast" more physical and quick, and Beshaud Perriman who is a go deep vertical threat, also with an injury history. I think there is an argument that Tyrell and or Perriman will take themselves out of the line up and it's Amon Ra or Cephus with whatever injury prone guy being a deep threat. The way Goff played with Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp with an occasionally available deep threat in Brandin Cooks I could see Detroit trying something like that. I don't think 1,200 yards is out of the question because of the place he was drafted. The Lions previously leaky defense can potentially provide a lot of catch up passing game situations as well. I could see Amon Ra ending up as the top statistical WR rookie.
