Haha....I remember him freaking out when Hines Ward broke his jaw with a crack back block and claimed thats what derailed his career, even though he wasnt even that good  BEFORE it happened.

Pretty sure is name was bananasUSC or something like that.

Yes it was. I couldn't remember his name exactly  but I just remember his love for USC and Rivers being drafted from there.

43, this might also take you back in the day too lol.

Knowing this day would eventually come, I took it upon myself to screenshot a couple of the most iconic thread/posts I've had bookmarked for years and ones I feel will forever be synonymous with FF and should never be forgotten IMO.  So if this is okay with @Webmaster I'm gonna post them here strictly for archive purposes in order to preserve them. (And also be used as a point of reference to better help new users understand these references whenever they're used as jokes.)

@Dallas94Ware is a FF legend, IMO. Longtime regulars know exactly who I'm talking about. Despite him and I having several disagreements on certain topics. He's a legend. Regardless of how outdated some of this info may be in the modern era, or whether you disagree with it.  Respect the time, effort, detail, and dedication this man put into this entire guide.  IMO, this is hands down probably my favorite thread of all time on this site. Outside of maybe, the FF debates (which need to make a come back).

D94 is easily one of my favorite posters ever on this site and one who I wish would come back on a regular basis because he would be a huge asset and a good change of pace. Content like this on this forum just seems like a lost relic nowadays.  I really hope all is well with him.

2) The classic; "Lombardi - Isn't that the guy the trophy is named after? If so, top 3 coach of all time."

For longtime members, this goes without saying. On FF, we often come across some egregious posts that literally make you shake your head but not nearly to the extent of this one.

Unfortunately, I do not have the classic "LT  is overrated because he might get injured" thread.  I did have it bookmarked at one point in time,  but IIRC there was a server issue where every post on the forum over the course of several months got deleted and I believe this post was one of them.  I could be wrong, but I remember having several threads bookmarked and when I began to go through each one of them, just to purge it, I'm pretty sure when I clicked the link it was no longer there and the timeline matched to what I'm talking about. But again, I could be wrong, and this has been years ago and I'm not getting any younger either lol.

@43M wasn't it spush that used to wreck that Browns fan way back in the day? Was that BobBrown? I can only remember spush.

Haha....yeah Spush was funny.   Didnt always get along with him, but he knew his stuff.   I remember several old Steeler fans that disappeared....some I miss, some....not so much.   😁

Treat was a good poster.

Irish was in and out, but was a good poster.

Bigben07MVP posted alot and then disappeared suddenly.   Hope everything is okay.

I remember arguing with Jayme all the time, who had an irrational hatred for Tomlin from the day he was hired.   Reminds me of someone else...

Dook was a well known troll.   Steeler fan, but made some of the dumbest posts Ive ever seen.   Hard to know if he was serious or just looking for heat.

JustPlainNasty, steelcurtain29, JDL, SteelProven, stillersnat...all good posters that disappeared.

I forgot all about Jayme and Dook....as well as SteelProven and stillersnat.

JPN randomly posted a few times this past offseason. JDL and SC29 both stopped last summer for some reason(maybe sooner).

Webmaster, could you provide more details about how someone can save an entire thread?

Most web browsers will allow you to save web pages.  Just visit the page you want to save, right click or use a file menu and click "save as".  Some browsers will also let you export as a PDF and more detailed offline web browsing.  With all options you are just saving it to your hard drive and can keep it there as long as you wish.

So I'm using chrome, I went to this thread:

http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=530847&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=1470

Right clicked, save as, and it gives me 3 options: HTML only, single file, or "complete". If I select HTML only, it provides a link to page 99, but you cannot access any of the other pages.  Selecting "single file" downloads an image of page 99 to my hard drive but it doesn't bring any of the previous 98 pages.  Download "complete" and it sets up a weird folder of random data and provides an html link, again to only page 99.

Am I missing a way to download the entire thread or is that just not possible?

Thank you for your help.

You’ll have to download each page individually.

There are some chrome extensions, other browsers,  and third party websites that give you more robust download options.  Do a search on google to find one that works best for your needs.

You could add the pages to the wayback machine. Here's a chrome extension. You'll still have to do it individually, though.
