Not a good look for Judge imo

How is THAT your takeaway? Longshot to make a team claims hoax, he hasn’t talked to him and doesn’t like him (or, you know, judge realizes he likely isn’t making the team). Admits he came in significantly heavier than the giants want and you think judge looked bad? I don’t know about the stealing food thing, nor do I see it as a big deal if true.

the stealing food thing was an obvious joke...

 

idk why youd ask a 265 lb WR to come in at 250 to play TE either. Nor why you wouldnt at least let him practice.

because you asked him to come in at 250, and he very clearly made no effort to do so. Doesnt really matter what their reason was.  This wasnt a 2nd or 3rd sting guy, he was a long shot and if said long shot isnt going to do whats asked, get rid of him and give his reps to someone who will.

250 is way low for a TE esp with a build of someone like Kelvin. For reference they already have a 265 lb TE on the team (Kyle Rudolph).

Asking a dude with that body shape to cut 15 pounds in two months to play a position in which his size was already adequete for sounds like yes, they were setting him up to fail.

I would still feel comfortable bringing in Benjamin after this fiasco and if I were a free agent would be skeptical of Judge.

PLease explain what you mean by "build of someone like Kelvin". You certainly cant  call him lean, so im wondering what you mean here?

 

And it doesnt matter what they have in another player, maybe they want guys at the same postion to do different things, which would make all the sense in the world and happens essentially on every team.

Yea, but youre in the minority. Kelvin Benjamin hasnt played a game since 2018. Theres serious questions if he ate himself out of the league. not too many teams are comfortable with Kelvin Benjamin.

no clearly not.

he's a big man. 6'5 and muscular.

idc the excuse - it's a ridiculous request to ask someone to cut 15 pounds in two months when their current weight is within the acceptable range of the position in the first place.

there is no scenario where this is a realistic request... if Joe Judge was serious about it, he's out of touch. if he wasn't, he was setting Kelvin up to fail on purpose.

you can be muscular and lean at the same time. personally wouldnt call him either. 

And youre argument sounds a while lot like a childs "but ________ gets to do this". We're not talking about anyone other than Kelvin Benjamin. Theres te's who weigh 235-240 too, but it doesnt matter. Maybe they dont like Benjamins body composition. Maybe they feel hes too slow at that weight to do what they want him to do. Maybe they think hes just fat. What do you have that says they havent checked his body fat %, are working with their sports trainers etc? Oh, and yes, you can absolutely lose 15 lbs in two months, and in a pretty healthy weigh if you work hard enough and where in a bad enough starting point.
