Since this is likely his last hurrah, is he a 44th ballot HoFer or no? 13th all-time in yards, 12th in Passing TD's and 19th in career QBR.....

Uh no.

He's just piling up stats in the stats era.  He was never more than pretty good (except for that 2005 season).

This sucks for Palmer.  He's probably done with the Cards, but he'll latch on somewhere next year.  This league is too QB deprived for him to not have a job if he wants one.

He had an MVP caliber season just, what, 2 years ago? so this isn't accurate

But obviously not a HOFer

Ah yeah, forgot about that season.  Lots of good QB seasons that year.  2015 was the second time Palmer threw more than 30 TD's in a season.  So...yeah.

He was also playing great in 2014 before tearing his ACL.  The Cards were 6-0 as well but he went down non-contact.  Simple **** luck.

We also injured Stanton and Kolb. Stop starting QBs against us. That'll fix the problem. ;)

LMAO

"Well Tony, that's an interesting look the Cards have come out in. 9 lineman and 2 running backs......"

Negative. He has zero post season success in a 14 year career while having been on at least half of dozen talented teams. Not to mention the near .500 w/l record that people are going to look at. He did have regular season peaks as high or higher than Eli/Ben/Rivers who will all get more serious Hall of Fame consideration though.

Has the same zero chance Vinny Testaverde has in reaching Canton, the postseason issues were apparent. Even if Palmer doesn't sustain that knee injury in the opening round 2005 playoff

game, I have little faith he would advanced far in the playoffs that season. A very good career, but a clear distinction between Palmer and the other QBs in this era who are bound for the HOF.
