ReggieCamp
Myles Garrett. A freak of nature who is impossible to replace. Some people may only know him for the helmet swinging, but he is definitely a respected leader as well.
DerbyRam
Arguably the most irreplaceable (non-QB) in the entire league: Aaron Donald.
RamblinMan99
Quinton Nelson, TJ Watt, DeAndre Hopkins, Aaron Donald, etc. All of those guys are arguably the very best at their positions and can’t be replaced in like 2-3 years tops.
DawgX
Easily Myles Garrett.
CP3MVP
13 hours ago, Yin-Yang said: I think it’s Stephon Gilmore. NE defenses has worked, for years now, by putting it’s best corner on the opposing team’s top threat and letting the rest of the defense do the rest. It was harder to do last year when Gilmore missed time. As great as JC Jackson has looked at times, he’s not the shutdown-guy at this point. Losing Gilmore completely changes what the defense likes to do, which I’m not sure any other single player does for New England for now. I remember Jc getting torched when he faced number 1 WRs

Obviously he’d come down from his DPOY peak, but acting like 2020 was a “continued regression” is false. Gilmore wasn’t regressing before that (beside from the natural regression from a DPOY season) and dealt with nagging injuries/the pandemic. The team has more players that can approximate Hightower in his roles than it does CBs that can approximate Gilmore. The DPOY was a farce in a down year anyways. Gilly was/is good and the right choice for this two and three seasons ago. But he was not the most indispensable non-QB in 2020 nor will he be anymore unless he uses HGH to restore his body and improve noticeably over last year results. Otherwise there is a continued natural regression. This year it may not be Hightower either, but if he is anything like he was before sitting out 2020 then his impact is far more important on the team than Gilmore. The depth is evenly distributed across the entire team. There are players to approximate Gilmore's role as much as there are players to approximate Hightowers, but Hightower is a clutch, more important, more gifted individual player and as strong of a leader as any. There is an argument to be made for Gilmore at least. Edited May 21, 2021 by DoleINGout
soflbillsfan
After seeing what the bills can do on offense in 2019 and then seeing them in 2020 Stefon Diggs has to be the bills offensive player that you couldnt replace for them not only has he made great plays but he has been able to take Josh Allen to the next level as a qb. On defense it has to be Tre White hes one of the best shut down corners in the game but doesnt have the big noise like other players get in the league. minutemancl
Blake Martinez for sure. He keeps that whole defense running and we don't have another guy even close to his caliber on the roster. He's the only LB that plays 90%+ of defensive snaps for us, and he's in the perfect defense for his skill set. We'd definitely be SOL if he were to miss extended time. HTTRDynasty
Last year, it was probably McLaurin as we had zero quality depth behind him. This year, it's Chase Young.
mtmmike
Tie Chubb Miles Garrett
SalvadorsDeli
Especially with us no longer having Orlando Brown, it's probably Ronnie Stanley for the Ravens.

There is an argument to be made for Gilmore at least. You’re going to act like there is a 100% rate of regression for a player hurting his quad + getting Covid? It’s an assumption you’re making, not an assumption of health by me/us. If it’s an age thing, then you have to say the same about Hightower. And no, you’re wrong. No one can fill Gilmore’s role as a shutdown CB effectively. Players can however moderately fill Hightower’s roles individually, there’s just not a single player that’ll do everything he can do. For instance, if you’re talking about playing off-ball and blitzing, you can let KVN approximate that. If it’s as an edge player, Judon and Uche can approximate that. No one is approximating a lockdown CB.
incognito_man
GB is definitely Clark, Jaire or Z Smith. Tough call between them.
