That's why it's called the "Week 1 Check in". And those stats are measured over the past two weeks.

I took a risk. Williams has a high level reputation. He's also 32 and was arguably my worst OL in week 1. I made the trade and he let in another 2 sacks this week. Since there was some heat around this particular trade, I decided to keep track of it and we can see how it panned out by seasons end.

Age doesn’t mean much in the sim. Even if they retire you should get 2 Nacho seasons worth. And we play 2 times per year. He’s 32 but still one of the best. He most likely won’t retire till 36-38..

Very interesting.

So, the quality of the OLineman still matters, but the stats may be misleading. Good to know.

I wouldn't call them completely useless but improving how useful they are has been on the todo list for years.

Which, honestly, is great to hear. I've always been a trenches guy, so I invested heavily in that department (despite some suggesting that OLinemen may not be all that important). I was disappointed that my guys seemed to be struggling. If the stats are potentially misleading, but the player still matters, I'm happy.

To be clear - I meant OL stats could be improved. OL themselves are heavy influencers in the Sim, I assure you.

Personally, I think the aggregate of your o line stats might be telling - it’s more the distribution that might be more misleading

Maybe comparing total sacks allowed for the team against tots drop backs and total run stuffs against rushing attempts (or simply ypc) might be helpful

Yeah, I'll definitely have to do this.

@TheKillerNacho

Please process the following

- Move Sione Takitaki to ILB; move TJ Edwards to PS

- Move Robert Tonyan to FB; Cut Tim Tebow

- Pick up Mike Davis, RB (ATL) and move to RB2; move AJ Dillon to PS

I haven't started simulating anything yet so I'll process this for Week 3 but in the future this was 55 minutes late.
