Among the 45 champions since the NBA/ABA merger in 1976, the average Offensive ranking of those champions is 5.6 and the average Defensive ranking is 5.2. The average Offensive Ranking of a the Finals runner up is 7.1 and the average Defensive Ranking is 7.9.

That said, typically you need to have a top five offense and defense to win a Championship and a top 10 offense and defense to make the finals.

There's only 1 team in the league that meets this criteria...

We set the NBA record for most 3 pointers made per game by a team this season... We also did it at a 39% clip, if Mitchell and Conley both didn't miss significant time we would've been the first team ever to average 40+ 3PA per game and shoot 40%+ as a team in the same season. In the playoffs thus far we're at the 40/40 mark.

Interesting, but the Clippers shot 41.4% only 0.1 behind the 2015-16 Warriors who are 2nd all time in terms of % according to basketball reference and they did it on 3 more attempts per game with George missing 25% of the season and Leonard missing 28% of the season.

Both are obviously great 3 point shooting teams though. I think both should also have an asterisk with no fans in the stands for the most part.

We averaged 16.7 3's per game and they averaged 14.3.

If we get Kawhi playing both ways at an elite level like Games 6/7 of the Mavs series, this should be Clippers in 6.

The knock on them has always been team chemistry and an identity; rotation players seem to be solidifying with Terence Mann establishing himself as a guy who can play meaningful minutes. Zubac will unfortunately be thrown at Gobert, but hopefully he uses up all 6 fouls. Maybe we'll see playoff Rondo this series?

Jazz rely heavily on the 3 and LAC ranked 8th in the regular season vs 3PT % with 35.9%. No one is stopping Kawhi on the offensive end. If they can steal game 1, I feel confident they'll win the series.

Mike Conley playing tonight?

Listed as questionable.  Probably a game time decision.  Though, if we follow Jazz history this season, that usually means they're not playing.  They generally come out the day before and say they're ready to play if they're going to play.

If he's not playing, committee point-guard play will commence.  Conley's backup is technically Forrest, but they tend to just have PG duties divided between Mitchell and Ingles.  Sometimes Clarkson.  Can't really blame them considering Forrest's lack of experience, especially in the playoffs.  Conley will definitely be missed if he's not ready to go.

Joe Ingles will start and they'll staggering PG duties between Mitchell/Ingles. Clarkson can't play PG because he never passes the ball. Joe is actually a pretty good creator/passer, in the 31 games he started he had 5+ assists in 23 of them. Think we go to an 8 man rotation with Conley out of Mitchell - Ingles - Bogdanovic - O'Neale - Rudy with Clarkson, Niang, and Favors off the bench.

Overall we're about 1 million times better than the Mavericks. Best 3 point shooting team ever, balanced offensively (5 guys averaging 17+ in the playoffs), and we were third in defensive efficiency while the Mavericks were a below average defensive team.

I mean, Clarkson can pass the ball.  About once a month, you'll see him with 7-9 assists in a game.  Honestly wish he would more often.  He's a decent passer and can create his own shots.  Just needs to put it all together into one skillset when his shots aren't dropping.  But, apparently, he's been given the "green light" to score.  That's cool and all, but when the open hot hand is there in the wing and he still chucks up a difficult shot, it's pretty painful to watch sometimes.

Yeah we'll see what happens tonight. Need Don to have a big game, Rudy to dominate inside, and Clarkson/Ingles to start making shots. I also just lul at everyone on here thinking Dallas is better than us for some odd reason.
