Ah right, that's why he is averaging more than he ever has in his career on more carries.

Run blocking has been decent, which was a pleasant surprise for us. Mason, in particular, is fantastic. Pass blocking though, which as you'll know having watched all our games ( ;) ) is our most important aspect on the line. It's been subpar. Brady has been hit a ridiculous amount of times. Beat his total last year in week 7!

Per Football Outsiders, the New England OL is ranked as such:

Adjust line yards: 2nd in the NFL

Stuffed % rank: 2nd in the NFL

2nd level rank: 7th in the NFL

However, I think reality is somewhere in the middle of what you said here, because Dion Lewis is also #5 in the NFL in DYAR and #1 in DVOA for RB's, and is 2nd in success rate for all RB's. So all in all, in terms of run blocking, the statistics suggest the New England OL is pretty good at run blocking, and Dion Lewis has also been fantastic.

What about pass protection?

none of you offer a single player other than brady for MVP otherwise belichick is gonna work the weird-*** evil dark magic he has to injure them too - it happened to watson wentz and brown, and i can say with almost full certainty if people trumpet wilson more than they are now he'll lose an acl in some dead rubber in week seventeen

It is weird how everyone has succumb to the 2017 MVP curse....Watson, Wentz, Brown etc apart from Thomas Saint Edward Brady. Just infallible isnt he :D

New England and Philly are, funny enough, basically the same:

New England: 12th ranked - allowed 31 total sacks for a sack rate of 6.1%

Philly: 11th ranked - allowed 31 total sacks for a sack rate of 6.0%

So it's a wash there, but New England is noticeably better at run blocking.

That's massively incomplete, given that Brady gets the ball out in around 2 seconds, whereas Wentz was holding it for a long time quite often. So we're giving up sacks and hits like that, despite Brady getting it out quickly. Not good.

Using the source I used, that's the conclusion I drew. There is missing context (as @BLick12 just provided), but in terms of sack rate and such, they're about the same.

I'd love to know how they work that out. Seen who has the most time to throw? The QBs behind Houston and Seattle's lines....:o

I assume it is because Watson and Wilson are guys that are able to buy the most amount of time using their legs.

Surprised by those stats, tbh. We've seen quite a few of those Watson/Wilson-esque yolo plays by Wentz.

We have, and those are the plays that make the highlight reels. But he also throws a lot in general and throws from the pocket consistently. .
