76ers haven't advanced past the second round in 20 years. The NBA's version of the Cowboys?

They consistently make the playoffs (post process). The Cowboys don't.

In case ppl think this is dying down as heat-in-the-moment reactions last night - clips like these will be played everywhere in Philly until Simmons is traded.

What I don't get is getting a wide open dunk like that is every kid's dream and one of the easieat thibgs to do, yet he's too scared to do?

John Wall.

You could make an argument either way. You're definitely going to be a garbage team paying John Wall 91 mil the next two seasons. That's inevitable. He's an expiring with value one year from now though.

Ben Simmons can be a positive impact guy in the regular season and carry a bad roster to a decent level. However, it's an absolute guarantee he's going to be a massive liability in the postseason and he's going to be making 41 mil in 2025. You cannot contend with him on your team and he's going to be making upper level money for four more years.

There's a chance a change of scenery gets Simmons to snap out of it and become more productive in the playoffs.  John Wall is just an anchor bringing you down.

Ben Simmons has regressed offensively since he entered the NBA. It's possible but I highly doubt he turns it around. There is plenty of evidence that he's a massive postseason liability now. John Wall will guarantee your team sucks but that's only for another year before you can move him.

I don't think John Wall's expiring will have value.  It is too large.  You'd have to match up multiple large contracts just to make a deal work.  There were several aging players this year that ended up as buyouts and that is where Wall is heading too (when he's in the last year of his deal).
