Should we extend Logan Thomas now?

“Washington should consider extending is tight end Logan Thomas.

Thomas, who signed a two-year, $6.145 million contract with Washington last offseason, is one of the better values in the NFL for veteran players in 2021.

According to Field Yates of ESPN, reaching an extension with Thomas is one move Washington should make before the 2021 season.

Washington found a gem in Thomas, developing him into a solid starter at a position where it otherwise lacks experience. Thomas signed a two-year, $6.145 million deal before last season, and he’s an excellent value for Washington this season with a base salary of just $2.315 million. The team could balance out the cap impact of the potential payday by getting ahead on this one, angling to extend the 29-year-old before he goes to the open market.

Washington has enough money and salary-cap room to extend both Allen and Thomas before the season. Both players want to remain in Washington long-term; both are excellent players and strong culture guys.“

I definitely agree they should extend Logan Thomas right now. If he has another season like last year then his price is only going to go up.
