Feel free to include any player predictions as far as acquisitions and assessments that could lead to them. Maybe you see one injury leading to an unexpected trade at or before the deadline. Maybe a veteran is hanging out there later in the year that you can see being brought aboard to help.

Practice squad rules are different this season like last year I think. More players on the squad and fewer restrictions?

You both think that Michel will not make the cut or be traded. I think he is on the team as a safety net in case Harris gets injured. Imagine a week 15-16 injury to Harris. Bill is not giving the RB1 spot to White, Taylor or a rookie in Stevenson

Michel is a tough cut/trade and more likely to make it than not, but I think they'll be fine without him.

anyone else expecting a 2 down lineman front like 80% of the time next year?

yep don't think there are more than 5-6 DL worthy of a roster spot anyway

So who will be this year's draft pick who gets stashed away on IR with a phantom injury to make room for a veteran? My money's on McGrone or Perkins.

This team is getting 12-13 wins.

*in the regular season

Losses: Bills 1x, Titans, Chargers, Cowboys, maybe Buccaneers

Close wins: Bills 1x, Browns, Panthers (nasty defense), Dolphins week 18, maybe Buccaneers, Falcons (TNF/short week+travel vs. explosive young offense and strategically sound HC)

Fun games: Jets x2 (Douglas and Wilson make them exciting for future), Jaguars (youth+Urban Meyer matchup), Texans (beating up on another team can build confidence), Colts (Wentz is just an easy target to cheer for INT's now and plus it's the Colts), Dolphins 1x (always nice to get a win against a team that thinks they're ahead of where they are), Saints (Jameis Winston and the NOLA hype just falling on it's face is rewarding; huge reassurance for the Pats)

My random prediction is that Meyers ends up playing a bigger role in the passing offense than Kendrick Bourne.

I got the Agholor signing, never really understood the Bourne one. I feel like Meyers can carve out a great role -presumably the one that's Bourne's to lose- in this passing offense with more weapons around him.

I think Meyers leading the receivers is a given at this point and disagree on Bourne. It is actually the opposite for me. Bourne is the one receiver I picked out to be signed by the Patriots. He is their typical technically sound receiver that can be lined up anywhere basically. Expect a role carved out similar to what Deion Branch did in his second stint with the Pats. Brandon Lloyd, Malcolm Mitchell, Brandon LaFell. Bourne is essentially the same player. Health permitting, his yardage total for 2021 should be around 700 IMO.
