Well, Rodgers needs a new contract, so Minnesota with the leverage could probably also demand a few rotational players like AJ Dillon and Rashan Gary. Seems like not signing that contract is already costing him a lot of money. I think homeboy is pretty much done in GB. He's not going to hold out/retire. The news about him turning down this contract was reported back around the draft. So there's really no new developments. It's unclear why this is suddenly newsworthy again. Many of us have been stating this for months because it's been known for months ha he will be traded next year after a disappointing 2021. That's my official prediction. Hunter2_1
Probably been done to death, but do we know why exactly he wants out of GB? Seemed like this is following a season where they all hooked it up pretty good

I'd agree with that, but when I've tried having this conversation with GB fans I get told that a) there were no pieces to help now available at the time, or b) they did in fact get help now just in later rounds, Dillon for example. Ā K.Ā So.... No doubt using your first pick and trading up with more capital to take a QB did not sit well.Ā Rodgers has said it isn't about Love.Ā And I think he's right.Ā He's good with Jordan.Ā He's not good with the position that Jordan plays. He's upset with the front office.Ā He's said that.Ā And he has not mentioned the lack of players brought in.Ā He's talked about how players are treated. He openly praised an unknown WR(yet God in GB) named Kumerow.Ā Then Kumerow was released.Ā (If he is truly upset about this, he's way wrong.)Ā I think he's miffed that he wanted his guy on the roster and the team thought otherwise, and since Rodgers stated it in public, the club made him look bad.Ā (again, petty) Rodgers was around when Donald Driver got a farewell season.Ā Jordy Nelson, his friend, was not offered a farewell season.Ā (just my opinion) He's upset because he knows GB has an "out" on his contract.Ā A contract that he signed.Ā With that "out" the team has leverage over him.Ā It isn't about money, it is about how the money is structured.Ā If he wants to retire in GB, he needs a deal that will make it financially impossible for GB to move on from him until he is ready to retire. (my opinion) Player wise, he can't be upset.Ā He's had a very good offensive line.Ā Team re-signed one of the best LT's in the game, and his friend, to protect his blindside.Ā Re-signed a very good DL who is still young (probably the best DL that would have been a free agent).Ā Re-signed his second best weapon in Aaron Jones. Rumor has it that GB offered Rodgers a contract that would free up more money to bring in more players this off-season.Ā Rodgers refused.Ā If he wanted "playmakers" he did not do his part to make it happen. Regarding "playmakers", Rodgers lobbied to get Jimmy Graham to GB.Ā Then didn't throw him the ball.Ā Graham wasn't anything special, but there were many times he was open, Rodgers just never took a chance on the throws. He's miffed at his coach for kicking the field goal.Ā Can't blame him for that.Ā But he should be miffed at his pathetic goal line plays prior to the field goal.Ā Or his pathetic offense after getting the other two interceptions that didn't result in even one first down.Ā Rodgers feels that he is smarter than the front office, and he also feels that by doing this stunt, he is sticking up for his teammates, past and present.Ā What he doesn't understand is that no one player is bigger than the organization.Ā And he's making the organization look very smart for drafting a QB to make sure they have a backup plan (not named Jake Jortles) if Rodgers pulls this stuff, or is too injured to play. Conclusion:Ā Aaron Rodgers is a "complicated fella".Ā Unbelievably talented.Ā But us fans have been here before.Ā We know there is still football life after a franchise QB leaves.Ā Ā

The Patriots hadnāt won the Super Bowl since 2004 when they drafted Garoppolo in the 2nd round in 2014. They won the Super Bowl in the 2014-2015 season.Ā Ā EDIT: They also lost the AFC championship game 2 years in a row prior to that. And the Super Bowl the year before that. Brady proceeded to win 3/4 super bowls in the 5 years following his drafting. Rodgers is a enormous d-bag beta who is threatened by Love now and wants to take the ball home. The GBP went all-in at several super bowl runs. One draft pick (where literally no "weapons" were even available) is not indicative of the FO mindset. Rodgers is soooo butthurt he ignores the dozens of other moves that CLEARLY indicate the team is "all-in" NOW. He's so pathetic. This is why he'll never touch Tom Brady or GOAT status. Patriots draft Garapolo, Brady's like "whatevs - imma go win 3 more super bowls". Packers draft Love and Rodgers dates a girl who sun tan's her b-hole, leaks info to the media like a little beta, and graces the world with his passive-aggressive cryptic comments and tweets and relishes feeling "mysterious". But the world is now understanding that "mystery" is just d-baggery.
