In which way is the word “entitled” a logical negation or contradiction of the word “criticize?”

Another quote: Rodgers doesn’t owe any of us anything, of course. He’s free to behave however he wants. But actual silence and actual privacy are options, and if he took them, it might be better for all involved. As it is, he continues to engage in trollish behavior because, well, he’s kind of a jerk. If true this explains a lot. None of the APC readers in the comments can refute it either; they just make ad hominem attacks on the author. TecmoSuperJoe
Rodgers would have received heat even if he was silent, and decided to distance himself from the Packers organization. Just like Kawhi Leonard did that one offseason when for months he literally said not one word, but distanced himself from the Spurs. All dead offseason long people came out of the woodwork on the daily, calling him a coward, baby, etc. for not making a statement. In reality people were just bored because of no drama to sink their teeth into.
Mr Bad Example
11 hours ago, incognito_man said: This is a VERY common misconception: that fans can't be critical of a good player (who is compensated as such) if/when he doesn't live up to that compensation or else they are "entitled" or something. Aaron Rodgers is fair game to criticize when he deserves it. And he deserves it. Don't try to tell people they are "entitled" when they criticize someone very, VERY deserving of criticism. He's not off limits just because he won an MVP. I tend to think the people who feel that competent coaches/GMs grow on trees to be the "entitled" ones, or the GB fans who seem to not realise that 31 other teams are trying to win a championship too (well, at least 20+ in any given year), and regard GB winning SBs as some sort of birthright. I see more than my share of GB fans who are basically the St Louis Cardinal fans of the NFL.

Uh, no. It would have destroyed the franchise had the front office not taken a QB in the first round. It won't even be a total rebuild. We already brought in a coach with a simplified offense. It'll be a step backwards for a year or two, but then things will roll again. Just like it did when Favre left. This isn't new territory. But it will be different.
