lol k

The Thunder traded Harden to Houston for Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, and two picks that later became Steven Adams and Mitch McGary.

The Rockets traded Harden to Brooklyn for Victor Oladipo (20 games), Avery Bradley, Kelly Olynyk, Dante Exum, Rodions Kurucs, four 1st round picks, and five 1st round pick swaps.

you cant judge what the rockets got back from the trade until a few years down the line to see what the picks end up being.

The Rockets return on Harden is one of the worst returns for a superstar in NBA history. Picks are speculative future assets, when has any other MVP been traded and the team didn't receive at least one good young player back?

Simmons is 25, Thybulle is 24, Maxey is 20. Two of them were All-NBA defenders this year.

Of the 5 teams rumored to be the most aggressive suitors (Rockets, Kings, Knicks, 76ers, Heat) who can offer a better package?

The Knicks can offer a package built around RJ Barrett, the Heat can offer a package built around Herro, the Kings can offer a package built around Haliburton?, and the Rockets can offer a package built around Wood/KPJ unless they're going to send the #2 pick.

Then Simmons needs to be diverted to a 3rd team for assets.

Westbrook to the Lakers is a deal so crazy that it actually might work, lol. Like when the Lakers added Meta World Peace back in the day, was just the final piece to the puzzle. They can't expect LeBron at his age to average 25+ ppg and be the primary ball handler in the regular season and still have fresh legs when the playoffs start. But if he doesn't then they're a fringe playoff team as we just saw this year.

I've never personally been a huge fan of Westbrook but he would take such a massive load to score/create off of LeBron, especially in the regular season. Mr. Stat Paddford would ball hog it up whenever LeBron needs a breather and he's coming off of a 22/10/12 season.

The Lakers don't really have any valuable trade assets and one of the few that they do have in KCP can't be traded because he's apart of team LeBron with Klutch Sports.

It's happening. @Leader @CWood21 @TheRealMcCoy

Are we going to sit here and act like the 76ers didn't just have the best record in the Eastern Conference while Simmons finished #2 in DPOY? They were a game away from the ECF... And while all the blame goes on Simmons, as I've asked before why do Embiid and Tobias get free passes? Embiid went 4/20 (0/12 2nd half) with a chance to go up 3-1 in a 3 point loss. Harris went 2/11 with a chance to go up 3-2 in a 3 point loss and 8/24 in their game 7 loss. But it's all Ben's fault.

exactly.  thats why its best to wait to see how the nets will be a few years down the line.  If the Nets are god awful in a few years, Rockets can use those picks to get way better while they already have their core.

Ben is a good player. A very good 82-game player. He makes Portland too close to average to try and tank. If they trade Lillard, this needs to be a blow it up situation. Keeping McCollum and trading for Simmons keeps them between 35-40 wins and at the end of the lottery. Worst place to be.
