(KRON) — NFL coach and Danville resident Greg Knapp has passed away after he was hit by a car last weekend in San Ramon, according to Sacramento State‘s athletic department. The 58-year-old New York Jets assistant coach was fighting for his life at a local hospital after he was struck by a car while riding his bike Saturday afternoon. https://www.kron4.com/news/bay-area/nfl-coach-greg-knapp-dies-after-struck-by-car-in-san-ramon/ Spent 9 years with the 49ers from 1995 to 2003 eventually making his way up to OC. I remember seeing him many times on the sidelines during the Mariucci era. Sucks that he passed away. Damn.
J-ALL-DAY
So sad, I did read a few days ago that he was fighting for his life. Prayers to the family.
Chrissooner49er
I would be interested to know more about the accident. Too many drivers going too fast and addicted to their phones, but don't know if that had anything to do with it... Hope not! It is always shame to see a good person lose their life to an accident like this.
