Then the wheels fell off and they were 6-6 in his Senior season. I think that in any single season of his high school career he eclipsed my high school's entire passing statistics all 4 years I was there.

Replacing that skillset to the level at which Lewic plays it will be tough, but there are good blockign TEs at the back end of a couple NFL rosters. The skillset isn't extinct. I'm not sure that you can't draft an OT and move him to that position. It isn't like the Lewis routes are being run down the field much. Blocking first, little slip receptions are secondary.
Brat&Beer
There are likely some college TE's every year with that skillset who don't get drafted or signed because most NFL teams aren't looking for guys with that skillset anymore. Leader
Paul Bretl - A name to watch during the preseason? Innis Gaines. Gaines has had a nice camp so far and is a versatile defender with box experience from his time at TCU & was very good against the run—2 musts in Barry’s defense. They don’t call him ‘Thump’ for nothing.

packfanfb
Good news all around. Think that only leaves Z and Redmond still on the NFI list.

You can probably find a decent athlete at a D3 school playing OT that could be a Lewis type TE blocker. Trim them down so they have a bit more mobility for the passing game

craig
Great news to have Keke, King, and Martin back at practice. In the hypothetical that we have a great year, having guys like Keke and King playing a lot of productive snaps is the kind of things-going-well that happens for team that have things-go-well big seasons. . Leader
Matt Schneidman - Devin Funchess in visible discomfort on the sideline while being checked out by head trainer Bryan Engel. Can’t tell exactly what the injury is. Important for him to be healthy for preseason battling for last WR spot.
Leader
Andy Herman - Lucas Patrick just moved TJ Slaton 5 yards down field. Patrick not going to give up that starting guard spot without a hell of a fight. Paul Bretl - Goodness that’s a heck of a rep by Patrick. Slaton measures in at 6’4” - 330 pounds, and this is another reason why there’s the emphasis on him having active hands.
