These teams have highly paid nerds whose sole job is compiling and applying data for this stuff. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we have an analytics heavy FO and our key guys are resting. And a lot of injuries aren’t really training issues. You can’t prepare an acl injury away, it’s just a freaky thing. Things like soft tissue injuries by and large are a result of overtraining/use than the opposite iirc. Yeah it seems like it's a balance. You need muscular to help prevent ligament and skeletal injuries but the muscles have to be healthy so they need to heal after training otherwise they will fail and you're relying on ligaments anyway which isn't holding up in an NFL atmosphere. If your cleat gets caught in the turf none of that really matters you will just be lucky or unlucky with how your weight is distributed and whether or not there is enough pressure that the ligaments stretch or tear. You definitely want to be trained and fresh when hitting the field but yeah, anything can happen you can only put yourself in the best position to stay healthy.
