Heck, they spent a good percentage of the snaps this year in 0-6-5 (6 LBs, 5 DBs). Vance Joseph uses an interesting combo of lots of creative blitzes and a bend-but-don't-break mentality otherwise. soflbillsfan
Kliff going in to his year 3 with an already stacked division and needs a way to make the playoffs to keep his job from not heating up giving up jones for anything less than a 1st rd pick is probably not worth it. Yes you can view it as a 31 year old coming off injury who wants a new deal but his value is more to that team now more than ever. His ability to get back to the 15+ sacks per year is something they need in order to compete against those 3 other teams in the division. Giving up on him now will only set back their season in which they need to show promise by making the playoffs. Not to mention Steve Keim going in to year 8 as the GM and not had a winning season in the last 5 years he has to show the owner he knows what he is doing and giving up chandler for pennies is not a good selling point. It is best they work things out rather than move on from him if you view it from the front office standpoint.
Nex_Gen
I think Chandler can play effectively into his mid-late 30s. Dude isn't an athletic specimen by any means, but has been dominant due to technique and polish. I don't see him slowing down any time soon. Thank you for the that, I appreciate it.
