So looks like it wasn't voided after all. Only concession appears to be trading a 6th to pay Randall Cobb $3mil in 2021. And there's some very good reasons why that is an attractive move regardless. Wouldn't have happened if Rodgers didn't lobby for it and Cobb agreed to a pay cut AND Houston agreed to eat $3million themselves for that pick. But nevertheless, Rodgers restructured to save $9.5mil, and team used that to sign Cobb and Kelly yesterday. Looks like a win-win to me. Yeah he's saying that since the revised deal hasn't been signed yet, he's still under contract for 3 years but the revised contract "may change that".
