Cutting him now frees up a net $5.5m in cap space (including the $3m dead money charge). That may change depending on if he's signed this season and what his off-set language is in his contract is. Swampbilly Posted October 25, 2017 Share Posted October 25, 2017 Tank has played well for us so far. Hopefully he can keep it rolling and avoid the rookie wall. Tony Lipett is still under his rookie contract next season which should give us adequate depth at the CB position even before the draft. Maxwell played better than most of us expected last season, but he was obviously struggling early this season. I'm not surprised we made this move, and I wish Maxwell good luck going forward.
